Broadway Asia founder Mark Ross and his Asia Pacific manager Yang Chenlin visited chongqing's Eighth Central International Department.

Through the work "An American in Paris", he shared the basic theoretical knowledge of musical theater and the basic musical theater appreciation skills with the students.

An American in Paris is a symphonic poem written by Gershwin in 1928. This most representative piece of music in the history of American music has been adapted into a film and a musical. The one I'm looking at today is a 2015 work directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon. As soon as this work was premiered, it won four awards at the Tony Awards that year, and the excitement of the work can be imagined.

As the saying goes, one minute on stage, ten years offstage, and what kind of excellent big coffee will achieve this classic drama

Director and Choreographer – Christopher Wilden (World Class Choreographer, Resident Choreographer of the Royal Ballet)

In 2015, he won the Tony Award for Best Choreography and the Critics Award for Peripheral Drama for his Broadway musical "An American in Paris" and several director awards. He also choreographed for the 2012 London Olympics.

The New York Times said of him: "Among the choreographers of his generation, no one could match the imaginative use of classical language." ”

There were also comments that he was "the best gift the ballet world has received in the last fifty years".
