In June 2011, in order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of friendly diplomatic relations between China and Turkey, the Shanghai International Film Festival held the "Turkish Film Week", screening 7 excellent Turkish films.
After 10 years, in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of friendly diplomatic relations between China and Turkey, under the guidance of the Shanghai Film Bureau, the Shanghai Art Film Alliance, an organization under the Shanghai Film Distribution and Projection Industry Association, will hold the "Turkish Film Week" at Shanghai Cinema and Paragon Cinema (Lujiazui Center Store) from September 18 to 25 to screen 8 outstanding Turkish films.

The event was also supported by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Yunus Emlay Academy (a public foundation under the Turkish Cultural Center, which is mainly responsible for promoting Turkish culture and promoting cultural exchanges with China. Named after the famous Turkish poet Yunus Emre, the academy celebrates the 700th anniversary of his death this year. Hence unesco's name for this year Yunus Emre) and the strong support of the Consulate General of Turkey in Shanghai.
Among the films screened in this Turkish Film Week, the "Egg Milk Honey Trilogy" copy comes with embedded Chinese subtitles, and the embedded subtitles of the other five films are Chinese subtitles, which are specially produced by the Shanghai Film Distribution and Screening Industry Association for this film festival.
The number of film weekly screenings has been pre-sold, of which "The Revenge of the Snake", "The Past of Asia Minor", "Wild Pear Tree" and other popular scenes have been sold out.
Film introduction
1. The Egg (Yumurta, 2007)
The first installment of the "Egg Honey Trilogy" by Turkish film maestro Semikh Kaplananoglu, it tells the story of joseph, the owner of a used bookstore, who returns home after receiving news of his mother's death. He met a girl, Ella, and learned that she had been caring for his mother for five years until her death. Ella helps Joseph complete his mother's last wishes. He won the Best Director Award and the Best Cinematography Award at the Dawning Festival in Iran.

2. Milk (Süt, 2008)
The second part of the "Egg Honey Trilogy" by Turkish film master Semikh Kaplananoglu tells the story of the young Joseph and his mother who rely on each other to sell dairy products and write poetry in their spare time. Just as his poems were being published in magazines, he received a draft notice. He was selected for the main competition section of the Venice Film Festival, won the Golden Tulip Best Cinematography Award at the Istanbul International Film Festival, and the Fibisi Film Critic Award.

3. Honey (Bal, 2010)
The Turkish film master Semikh Kaplanolu concludes his "Custard Honey Trilogy", which tells the story of the little boy Joseph who grew up talking timidly, and his beekeeper father taught him to whisper to overcome his fears. He often went to the woods with his father to move the bees. But there were fewer and fewer bees in this area, and my father had to go farther away to look for them. Won the Golden Bear for Best Film at the Berlin Film Festival.

4. Bir Zamanlar Anadolu'da (2011)
The masterpiece of Turkish film master Nuri Bige Ceylon tells the story of a group of police officers who took prisoners to the outskirts to look for a place to dump bodies on a night in a wild mountainous area, but could not be found for a long time, and after a long night, the police force had to take the prisoners to a nearby village to rest, and things took a turning point. 6. Dead Horse Nebula (2018)
The debut novel of the emerging Turkish director Tariq Aktash tells the story of Hay when he sees a dead horse as a child and explodes, and he begins to develop a strange psychological state of life and death, making him constantly wander between life and death. Nominated for Best Debut at the Locarno International Film Festival.

7. "Green Vine" (Sarmaşik, 2015)
Turkey's emerging director Turga Karaselik's masterpiece tells the story of a ship that runs aground due to the bankruptcy of its owner, leaving six crew members on board in an attempt to insist on denouncing months of arrears of wages, but the six people are pregnant with a ghost fetus and stage a shipwreck indoor drama. Nominated for a World Cinema Feature Film at the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.

8. Revenge of the Snake (Yılanların Öcü, 1962)
The classic masterpiece of Turkish film master Metin Elksan tells that in the countryside, the second in command of the village committee bought common land and wanted to build a house in front of a peasant family, but the latter opposed it. Unexpectedly, the two families have since formed a beam, and the contradictions have become more and more noisy until the accident occurs.
