Liang Hongjun, director of the Shanghai Yue Theatre, called it "creation in progress", "combining the themes of Shanghai, poverty alleviation, poverty alleviation and Ben Xiaokang, which is different from the previous rural themes." As the first batch of key literary and artistic creation projects selected for the theme of "Centenary of the Founding of the Party" and "Comprehensive Well-off", "Deep Feelings of Mountains and Seas" will appear at the Majestic Theater on October 17 and 18 to participate in the "Art Forward - Domestic Excellent Original Theatrical Stage Works Shanghai Exhibition".
Screenwriters Li Li and Zhang Chuyin set "Deep Feelings of Mountains and Seas" in the autumn Miaoling Village to hold a traditional new rice festival, which began the story: Jiang Wei, a Shanghai costume designer and volunteer played by Fan Tingting, hoped to rebuild the Miaozhai Bamboo Weaving Cooperative, and she and Ying Hua, the president played by Fang Yafen, discussed the revitalization of the bamboo weaving development plan, during which they experienced various misunderstandings with Jiang Dahai (Xu Jie), the deputy county magistrate in charge of the industry and Jiang Wei's father, Jiang Dahai (Xu Jie), the bamboo weaving master and Ying Hua's mother-in-law Long Apo (Cai Yan), and finally released the previous suspicions. Liang Hongjun introduced that "Mountains and Seas" is one of the largest productions of Shanghai Yue Theatre in the past 20 years, gathering the strength of three groups in the whole hospital, and there are nearly 160 actors, bands and stage dancers on stage. The crew prepared more than 160 sets of plays for more than 60 actors. In the 20-minute dance scene, the actors had to change into 4 costumes, and at the end of the catwalk, 16 sets of clothes were designed.
In order to meet the audience smoothly in October, the crew of "Mountains and Seas" worked continuously for more than a month, and director Yang Xiaoqing was busy from 9 am to 90 pm. The crew established a temporary party branch and gave play to the exemplary role of party members. The actors postponed their regular performances until November, and the theater pushed out two tours, nearly 40 of them, freeing up two months to rehearse "Mountains and Seas". "The play changes the inherent means of expression of opera, hoping to present a new stage image, and in the theme creation of 'all-round well-off' and 'centenary of the founding of the party', it can have a place in Shanghai Yue opera." Liang Hongjun said.
"Deep Feelings of Mountains and Seas" has a tortuous and touching story, a beautiful singing voice, and constant innovation in the form of expression, stealing teachers from musicals and so on. Liang Hongjun said that since the 1930s, Yue opera has been constantly renovating and changing in its peak glory, the earliest use of piano accompaniment, the earliest use of Western music, the earliest combination with film, "acting in modern drama, especially such a contemporary play, the traditional stylized performance method needs to be close to the times, so that the audience feels real, can be integrated into life, express the beauty of Yue opera, so that traditional audiences can accept, while meeting the needs of new audiences." ”
"Deep Love in Mountains and Seas" gathers Chen Jun, the composer and orchestrator Liu Jiankuan and Yang Haoping, the stage design Hu Zuo, the lighting design Xiao Lihe, and the costume design Wang Qiuping.
