The drama tells the story of Shanghai and Guizhou working together to alleviate poverty: with Shanghai fashion designer and volunteer Jiang Wei as the main line, and her father, Jiang Dahai, deputy county magistrate in charge of industry in Miaozhai, Guizhou (a cadre from Shanghai to Guizhou), as a supplementary line, they rebuilt the Miaozhai bamboo weaving cooperative through twists and turns, and jointly contributed to the revitalization of the bamboo weaving industry and the Miao family economy.
