Russian "political expert" network September 24 article, original title: Russia can become a strong backing for China against AUKUS Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States recently announced the establishment of a new tri-power military-political alliance "AUKUS". Many Russian political analysts argue that the alliance is primarily aimed at China, but could also affect Russian interests.

Asia's Balkans? Russian media: The United States wants to create an "arc of instability" from the Mediterranean Sea to China's periphery

The establishment of AUKUS can be seen as a new military-political doctrine officially announced by the United States, in which China is the main adversary of the United States. In this sense, Biden continued the policies of his predecessor Trump. AUKUS is predominantly Anglo-Saxon and aims to unite countries with close policies. Canada and New Zealand may soon join the alliance. The presence of a large number of overseas Chinese in AUKUS countries will not become an obstacle for these countries to confront China. Because the Chinese in these countries have never pursued political influence, but have concentrated their interest in the economic field.

The U.S. builds an anti-China coalition because of its strategy of withdrawing its troops from Afghanistan, Syria, and Iraq, and the U.S. strategy of abandoning the strategy of helping other countries build (Western) democracy. At present, the United States does not have the money to help other countries establish (Western-style) democracy – and military action against other countries for this purpose is expensive and ineffective.

It is interesting to note that Americans are evacuating hotspots and leaving the area with chaos and instability, a migration crisis, and so on. Above all, the United States now wants to create an "arc of instability" (Asia's Balkan Peninsula), an explosively dangerous zone stretching from the Mediterranean Sea to the Border with China. As a result, regional countries, including China and Russia, have had to deal with regional instability.

The United States deliberately created an unstable zone around China. Some Southeast Asian countries that have differences with China may "take a chestnut out of the fire" for the United States. The situation around the Taiwan Strait could become a new flashpoint of conflict. These will seriously affect the economies of regional countries, but less so on THE AUKUS countries. Of course, this does not mean that war will break out. What the United States wants is to fan the flames in China's neighboring countries, throw the situation into chaos, or find allies whose presence poses a threat to China, thereby dispersing and weakening China's power. In this situation, what China needs, if not allies, is at least a strong backing. At present, the only country that can play such a role is Russia. (Translated by Kirill Kotkov and Liu Yupeng)
