12. "Source and Testing Ground" - Design Art in Shenzhen (1987-2019)
"Source and Testing Ground: Design Art in Shenzhen (1987-2019)" was curated by Peng Baoyu, a young curator at Guan Shanyue Art Museum. After preliminary evaluation and re-evaluation by the expert group, and reviewed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the project was selected into the "2020 National Art Museum Young Curator Support Program of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism", and it is also the only project in Shenzhen to be selected for the program. Based on the representative design works hidden in different historical stages of Guan Shanyue Art Museum, the project takes the development process of Shenzhen design for more than 30 years as the main line, and aims to do a more in-depth combing and research on the development of shenzhen's contemporary design in the past 40 years of reform and opening up: on the one hand, it presents the excellent achievements of Shenzhen's contemporary design art, and tries to think about the interactive relationship between design innovation and the city's innovation vitality through an exhibition. "AskIng Pottery Journey - Shenzhen Museum Ceramics Exhibition" exhibits 300 pieces (groups) of ceramics from the past. Its era covers various periods from Neolithic to Ming and Qing dynasties, including early faience pottery, royal ceramic sculptures during the reign of Wenjing in the Western Han Dynasty, Wei and Jin celadons, Tang Sancai and Sheng Tang royal figurines, Tang Nan Qingbei white porcelain, Song Dynasty tea ware, etc., showing the role played by ceramics in social life and cultural exchanges in various historical stages, which can be called a miniature history of the development of Chinese ceramic culture.

16. "Jijin Chunqiu" - Shenzhen Museum Bronze Exhibition
The exhibition of 303 pieces (groups) of essence bronzes accumulated by the Shenzhen Museum over the years is displayed according to the times and uses, mainly including ceremonial musical instruments, weapons, bronze mirrors, currency, statues, antique bronzes, etc., showing the changes in Chinese society and the transfer of aesthetic tastes over thousands of years, reflecting the history, culture, craftsmanship and social thought of different periods.
17. "Immortality" – Confucianism in Chinese cultural relics
This exhibition will focus on the stone carvings reflecting the characteristics of Confucianism, Interpretation and Taoism in the important periods of the Wei and Jin Dynasties. The exhibits are rich in types and diverse in images, containing rich information, comprehensively reflecting the life of the ancients in the Middle Ages (utensils, architecture, environment, labor methods, etc.), and because of the information carried by the cultural relics, it provides us with materials to fully understand the lives and spiritual worlds of people of all walks of life in the Middle Ages of China, and the important period materials of Chinese intellectual history; among them, the images of Filial Piety and the "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Forest and the Rongqi Period" have both philological and artistic historical value.
18. "Modern Shenzhen"
The Opium War was the beginning of China's modern history. In 1839, the Battle of Kowloon in the Xin'an Sea area of Shenzhen was the outpost of the Opium War, where the first modern anti-aggression battle was fought. After the defeat of the Opium War, China humiliated and sought peace with foreign invaders, signed the treaty of Nanking, the first unequal treaty in modern times, and independent China embarked on a path of semi-colonial and semi-feudal suffering. Modern Shenzhen is a microcosm of modern Chinese history. From the people of Shenzhen and Hong Kong resisting the British occupation of Hong Kong, to Sun Yat-sen's launching of the Sanzhoutian Uprising and firing the first shot to overthrow the Qing Dynasty; from the peasant movement led by the party organization in Bao'an County against the warlord powers, to the forefront of the provincial and Hong Kong general strike; from the eight years of arduous resistance to the four-year War of Liberation... 19. "Ancient Shenzhen"
When you revel in the glory of today's Shenzhen, have you ever thought of how much blood and sweat your industrious and brave ancestors spilled to open up this hot land? Have you ever seen the mottled trajectory of the wheels of history on this hot soil? After years of arduous labor, Shenzhen cultural and cultural workers have whisked away the dust on the surface of history, and with rich cultural relics and cultural historical materials, they have picked up the display of five parts: "Footprints of the Ancestors", "The Beginning of the City", "Ocean Economy", "Important Town of Coastal Defense", and "Ancient Migration", showing that Shenzhen, located on the coast of the South China Sea, has a history of human development and marine economic development for more than 6,000 years, a history of more than 1,700 years of urban history, a history of coastal defense for more than 600 years, and a long history of Guangfu folk and Hakka immigration. 20. Shenzhen Folklore
Folk culture is the conventional behavior mode and cultural phenomenon produced by human beings in the long-term production and life process in order to adapt to the environment. These include tangible and intangible cultural heritage, which are vivid reflections of history and social life. Folk culture has two forms: tangible cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage, which have been passed down from generation to generation in the folk culture, and have developed and changed with the progress of the times and the exchange and integration of production and lifestyle.
Shenzhen's traditional folk culture, dominated by Cantonese and Hakka folks, has a long history and is rich and colorful. Shenzhen is on the verge of the sea, strangling the mouth of the Pearl River, and coastal residents who "live by the sea" and those who travel through this sea have interpreted colorful marine cultural customs in long-term maritime activities. "A nation that does not pay attention to its own history and culture is a nation without hope." Respecting, protecting, and drawing nutrients from traditional folk culture is the foundation for the inheritance and development of human civilization. 21. History of Shenzhen's Reform and Opening Up
Shenzhen, one of the earliest special economic zones in China, is a magnificent pearl in the south of the motherland. She was born in the call of expectation of reform and opening up, bathed in the sunshine and rain of reform and opening up, and was famous for the "test field" and "window" of reform and opening up, and took off by the east wind of reform and opening up. In 1978, the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China ushered in a new historical period of China's reform and opening up. In the blink of an eye in the past 30 years, Shenzhen has leapt from a backward small border county to a beautiful modern city, and its comprehensive strength ranks in the forefront of the major cities in China. 22. World Wildlife Specimen Exhibition
Mr. Belling has collected and produced many taxidermy animals around the world and donated them to many museums at home and abroad free of charge. On display here are the first wildlife specimens donated by Mr. Behring to the Shenzhen Museum free of charge, including rare species such as cheetahs, African elephants, and polar bears. Specimens are rich in variety and advanced in production technology, and have high collection, research and exhibition value. Mr. Belling's donation has greatly enriched the collection of Shenzhen Museum, filled the gap in Shenzhen's collection of animal specimens in Africa, the Americas and Oceania, provided a solid foundation for the establishment of natural museums, and played a positive role in building a natural science knowledge education base and carrying out popular science education. This exhibition is divided into four exhibition areas according to the living environment of animals, grassland, desert, forest and polar region, which reflects the relationship between animals, humans and nature by restoring ecological landscapes and comprehensively using sound, light, film and television. 24. "The Rising Tide of the Pearl River" - Guangdong Reform and Opening Up 40th Anniversary Exhibition
In December 1978, the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China made the historic policy decision of shifting the work center of the Party and the state to economic construction and carrying out reform and opening up, mobilizing the whole party and the people of all nationalities throughout the country to carry out a new Long March for socialist modernization, and realizing a great turning point of far-reaching significance in the history of our party and country since the founding of New China. Since then, the Chinese nation has made great strides to catch up with the times and ushered in a great leap from standing up and getting rich to becoming strong. Guangdong is the vanguard, pioneer and experimental area of reform and opening up. 40 years ago, Deng Xiaoping, the chief architect of China's reform and opening up, supported Guangdong to be the first to try and create a special economic zone.
