The film is the suspenseful debut of the well-known American screenwriter Taylor Sheridan, who was nominated for the "Best Original Screenplay" of the Writers Guild of America and the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for "Going to the Soup" and "Border Killer".
As a new director, Sheridan won the "One Kind of Attention Unit" Best Director Award at the 70th Cannes Film Festival.

[Hunter Wind Valley] stars Jeremy Rayner ("Advent"),"Crimson Witch" Elizabeth Olson ([Captain America 2]), Kelsey Chow ([The Amazing Spider-Man]), and others.
Based on true events, the film tells the story of a teenage murder in Wind River Valley, where FBI agent Jane (Elizabeth Olson) and local hunter Corey (Jeremy Rayner) try to find out the truth, but the result is unexpected.
The atmosphere of the whole trailer is tense, and the confrontation between good and evil is also heart-wrenching. Corey, played by Rayner, said, "I hunt carnivores. "He is a man who takes revenge for the death of his daughter, but the tragic death of the girl seems to be inseparable from the scene above."
This film is the same style as sheridan's "Going to the Soup" and "Border Killer", but it is more expressive of similar fates.
It is understood that the film had a good reputation after its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, and the New York Times praised it as "not just an action thriller."
The FBI female agent Jane in the film tries to fight the corrupt forces (above), which is particularly similar to Kate (below) played by Emily Blunt in [Border Killer].
