It is winter, and the Fresh Guava Agricultural Park in Guanghui Village, Zengjiang Street, Zengcheng District, Guangzhou, is still verdant.
"Compared to the usual guavas on the market, the fruit here is more moist, sweeter and more refreshing." Liu Shufen, general manager of Guangzhou Chuangxian Agricultural Company, introduced that based on the excellent local natural environment, the introduction of modern agricultural planting technology, with "company + base + farmer" and "Internet + supply chain" as the operating mode, to achieve large-scale planting of guava, and greatly improve the quality of guava.
After several years of development, this 550-acre guava planting base is attracting people's attention with a new development concept. In Guanghui Village, we are exploring the establishment of an agricultural modernization development base of "agriculture + tourism", creating a "beautiful pastoral complex", showing the new situation of beautiful countryside, and constantly promoting the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.
Build a beautiful countryside with "farming" as the background color
Guanghui Village is located in the eastern part of Zengcheng District, with moderate temperatures and moderate altitudes and abundant rainfall. Locals have long had a tradition of planting fruit trees, but only sporadically in front of and behind their houses.
Previously, due to the scattered planting of farmers, the quality of fruits was poor, and the economic benefits were not obvious. In 2017, Liu Shufen, a large guava grower, took a fancy to this "treasure land", and rented 550 mu of land in Guanghui Village through the registration and establishment of Guangzhou Chuangxian Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., in the way of "company + base + farmer", to achieve the "one-stop" operation and management of the planting and sales of guava and other agricultural products.
With the rise of e-commerce consumption, Liu Shufen also hitched a ride on the east wind of "Internet + agriculture". At present, Chuangxian Agricultural Company has reached cooperation with online shopping e-commerce platforms such as SF Preferred and Tmall Supermarket to become a supplier. At the same time, the company also created its own online sales platform "Chuangxian Mall", which sells Zengcheng fruits throughout the country, and the average daily sales volume of the entire company can reach up to 150,000 jin. "Our guavas have been sold to shopping malls and supermarkets in Guangzhou, Dongguan, Shenzhen and even Hong Kong." Liu Shufen said.
The "farming" foundation is solid, the industry is prosperous, and the beautiful countryside has a foundation. "We are building a 'pastoral complex' that integrates modern agriculture, leisure tourism, and pastoral communities as one of the characteristic towns and rural comprehensive development models, which is a sustainable model for realizing rural modernization, new urbanization, and comprehensive social and economic development." Liu Shufen told reporters that the park will develop modern agriculture through scientific and technological transformation and "intelligent" management, so that the park will become a scenic spot, a pastoral park, and a product into a commodity, which will realize the integrated development of the first, second, and third industries.
In the Guava Agricultural Park, surrounded by mountains, eight varieties of guava seedlings grow well and have buds to be released. Under the dark green trees, planters are busy loosening the soil and fertilizing. Leisure facilities such as field roads, bamboo corridors and rattans, bicycle stations, and fun greenways have been initially improved, and large windmills, Ferris wheels, guava culture expo halls, etc. are under planning and construction, and a "beautiful pastoral complex" has taken shape.
"Let modern agriculture drive more farmers to get rich together"
"You can have land rent, you can work at the doorstep of your home, and you have tens of thousands of yuan in income a year, which is much better than living on farming in previous years." Lai Yong, a villager in Guanghui Village, transferred his 3 acres of land to the Chuangxian Agricultural Company, and his wife became an employee of the company. As enterprises entered the village, many villagers, like Lai Yong, not only took the land rent, but also enjoyed wages and benefits, and realized the prosperity at the doorstep of their homes.
"While developing ourselves, we are also actively revitalizing idle resources in rural areas, so that modern agriculture can drive more farmers to get rich together." Liu Shufen said that Chuangxian Agriculture promotes technology to local farmers and hires them to work, so that farmers can obtain a triple income of rental income, land subsidies and wages and benefits, with an average annual income of about 50,000 yuan per farmer. "In this way, the green mountains and green waters are truly realized, and the rural revitalization strategy is implemented."
Lai Laijian, the village branch secretary of Guanghui Village, calculated an account: after the completion of the park, guava production increased by 1,500 tons per year, the annual income increased by 10.5 million yuan, the sales of agricultural products through tourism and e-commerce were 14 million yuan, the radiation drove farmers to plant an area of more than 10,000 mu, and more than 1,000 farmers in the surrounding area were employed and enriched.
Today, guavas are sold from Guanghui Village, and varieties such as carmine, white fragrant fruit, four seasons, pearl bale and so on are well known. Carmine guava, dried guava fruit, guava tea, guava wine... In fresh farming, guavas are "eaten dry and squeezed out", extending a variety of products and selling them throughout the country.
"It can be said that carmine is popular from here, and it is also popular here." Liu Shufen said that the sale of fruits, the introduction of tourists, and the integration of agriculture with rural tourism, culture and other industries not only enhance the added value of agricultural products, but also allow the "beautiful pastoral complex" to enter people's vision.
"The introduction of leading enterprises and the realization of land circulation not only solve the problem of surplus labor, but also drive villagers to generate income at their own doorsteps, and now the income of villagers has increased significantly than before." What's even more gratifying is that the environment of our village has become more beautiful and clean, which is really a three-for-one thing. Lai Laijian said that next, Guanghui Village will continue to do a good job in land circulation management, reasonably guide the circulation of land to efficient and centralized enterprises, promote the construction of rural greening and beautification, cooperate with and assist leading enterprises to improve the construction of various supporting facilities such as farmland water conservancy infrastructure, promote the integrated development of the first, second and third industries, and achieve a win-win situation between industrial development and farmers' income.
