The first chapter of "Memoirs of Wang Jialiang" broke into the Kanto

Wang Jialiang: a native of Huangxian County, Shandong Province, born in 1933, good use of the layout of the middle artillery river car, brave and fierce chess style, bold axe, strong offensive power, so it is known as "Northeast Tiger". In 1956, 1959 and 1959, he was runner-up in the first, second and fourth national chess tournaments, and then in the top six seven times until 1981. He was awarded the title of Chinese Chess Master in 1982 and the Title of Chinese Chess Grandmaster in 1984. In 1979, he became the editor-in-chief of Northern Chess Art (later renamed Chess Art), and in 1985, he became the vice president of Heilongjiang Chess Academy.

1. You are from Shandong, how did you come to Northeast China to take root?

Everything starts with my father, my hometown is in Huang County, Shandong Province, and my grandfather is a teacher with a meager income. There are many people in the hometown and there is little land, and life at home is very difficult. Forced by life, my father and uncle left their hometown and ran to the northeast to beg for a living, which is the so-called breaking into the Kanto. When my father came to Harbin, he could say that he had nothing, and he and his uncle were apprentices in a furniture store called Dongfahe, and they barely mixed their mouths. My father studied in a furniture store for five or six years, and when the Harbin flood broke out in 1932, my father returned to Shandong, and my uncle stayed in Harbin alone.

After I was born in 1933, life at home was even more difficult, and my father had no choice, so he came to the northeast alone. My mother had four sisters, my second aunt's family lived in Heihe, and my father did not go to Harbin this time, but to the second aunt's house. My father spoke a little Russian, and he and my uncle went to the border of Vladivostok to barter with the Soviets. At that time, there was a saying called "bluffing the old maozi", that is, the Soviets were more realistic, and they hardly heard of any pits Chinese. After running like this for two or three years, because he couldn't make any money and had to run back and forth on the border line, my father didn't plan to do it anymore.

My uncle had a house in Sunwu County and lent my father a grocery store. At that time, there were many mountains and forests in the northeast, relying on the mountains to eat the mountains, and the grocery stores sold some wood ear fungus and other mountain products, so that my father's life finally settled down. So my mother took the four-year-old me to Sunwu County.

2. Get to know chess for the first time

How did you learn to play chess?

My father was a great game of chess and was good at walking on wildebeest. Sun Wu County's chess style is relatively strong, and his father can rank third in the county, and there is not much difference between the top two levels. There is a small market in the county, very bustling, in front of a bookstore for many years to play a game of chess, as long as it does not rain, every day around a lot of people. My father often went there to play chess, and when he was addicted, he didn't know how to go home to eat, so my mother asked me to call him when she made the meal. My father always told me to wait a while and then go back after finishing this plate. I squatted next to it and watched, learned it after a long time, and then I also put down a plate or two. But at that time, I was still young, played a lot of things, and I was not fascinated by chess.

3. Death of father

When I was a teenager, the situation in the northeast was very tense, and because of the gradual defeat in southeast Asian countries, Japan desperately wanted to save the fat of the northeast. My father forgot to turn off the lights during an air defense exercise, and as a result, he was captured by the Japanese gendarmerie and thrown in a water prison for more than ten days. After being released, he had edema and died after more than half a year. Not long after his father's death, the Red Army entered the northeast. There is a river in Sunwu County, which is divided into Southern Sun Wu and Northern Sun Wu. A vanguard force of more than a thousand soviet Red Army was ambushed by the Japanese in Beisun Wu, killing hundreds of people. As soon as the large troops in the rear came up, the ambushed Japanese army could not hold back and began to retreat to southern Sun Wu. When they reached the river, the bridge was blown up, and thousands of Japanese troops all died in the river. Because the Soviet army was ambushed, it was angry with Chinese, and arrested all the people of Northern Sun Wu except for women and children, and later I only knew that there were two people who ran back. There is a huge military fortification in the mountains of Nansun Wu, with hundreds of thousands of Japanese troops stationed there. The Red Army could not continue to advance, and thus it was deadlocked from north to south. However, not long after holding out, the Emperor of Japan announced his unconditional surrender. I clearly remember a Japanese lieutenant general hanging himself around a lot of Chinese watching, and this is what I remember as the Eight Hundred and Fifty Restorations.

Although the war was over, life could not go on. After his father's death, sunwu county, which had been devastated by the war, was in ruins and the school was blown to the ground. My mother had to take the grocery store out of the place and take me out of the place to join my uncle in Harbin.

4. The beginning of a chess career

My uncle and father came to Harbin together as an apprentice, and when my father returned to Shandong, he stayed here, worked hard for several years, and opened a small furniture store. After arriving in Harbin, my mother planned to let me take the first middle school entrance examination and continue my studies, but I did not expect that at this time, I was fascinated by chess.

One of the famous Five Tiger Generals in Harbin at that time, surnamed Tian, played a game of chess with two horses, and the result was that the game was harmonized. The surname Tian said, "This child is quite powerful." So he told me a place where there was a game of chess in Daoli Seven Dao Street and asked me to play there. My family lived on Badao Street, and it was very close, so I went. The chess game is at the door of a dyeing workshop on Qidao Street, and the owner of the dyeing room is surnamed Lu, and the chess strength is average. The famous Five Tiger Generals in Harbin often go there to play chess, and I soak there every day and benefit a lot. What really affected my future was that I met my "enlightenment teacher" Mr. Kim Kai-chang there. Mr. Jin is also one of the Five Tiger Generals, who is quite easy-going and writes very well with a brush. When he saw that I didn't seem to know much about the beginning and the endgame, he took me home and lent me his collection of books such as "Orange Secret", "Plum Blossom Spectrum", and "Suitable and Elegant Fun". I was so precious that I held a book every day and saw it very late, and I threw aside the schooling matter early.
