On the afternoon of October 10th, the "Congratulations to Professor Li Chuanke and Professor Wei Xiangming on his 80th Birthday and Academic Thought Seminar" sponsored by the Ophthalmology Professional Committee of Hunan Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Integrative Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine and hosted by the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was held in Changsha, Hunan Province. Nearly 200 people from all over the country, including industry experts, professors and scholars, professor Li Chuanxue, disciples of Professor Wei Xiangming and guests, attended the ceremony to celebrate the 80th birthday of the second elder.
The meeting was presided over by Peng Qinghua, member of the Party Committee and vice president of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Hunan Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine), and Liu Pingan, secretary of the Party Committee of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, delivered a warm speech. In his speech, on behalf of all the faculty and staff of the hospital, he expressed his high respect and sincere wishes to Professor Li Chuanxue and Professor Wei Xiangming, reviewed the extraordinary life course of the two old professors in studying and practicing medicine, teaching and educating people for more than 60 years, and thanked the second elder for his outstanding contributions to the vigorous development of the cause of traditional Chinese medicine ophthalmology in China.
Subsequently, the leaders and some guests and representatives of disciples spoke one after another, expressing their admiration and gratitude for the second elder, and wishing the second elder a happy birthday and taking a group photo together.
At the same time, Professor Li Bo, the academic heir of Professor Li Chuanke, and Professor Wei Guannan, the academic heir of Professor Wei Xiangming, gave special lectures on the academic thinking and clinical experience of Professor Li Chuanxue and Professor Wei Xiangming, which presented a wonderful academic feast for the majority of participants.
The conference ended with good wishes and warm applause.
