Wang Jianxin: The CPC Central Committee has always adhered to the main tone of "strictness."

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, by the end of June 2021, under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee, discipline inspection and supervision organs across the country have filed and examined 3.884 million cases and 4.173 million people.

Wang Jianxin, director of the Propaganda Department of the Central Discipline Inspection Commission and the State Supervision Commission, said at a press conference held by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee on 26 June that the party Central Committee has always adhered to the main tone of "strictness," with the word "strict" as the first word, and comprehensive strictness, which is mainly embodied in the following six aspects:

First, we should pay close attention to ideology. Persist in arming their minds with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, requiring the majority of party members and cadres to continuously purify their political souls, transform their original mission into conscious actions of forging ahead and really grasping solid work, and dare to stand up and be good at struggle in the face of major issues of right and wrong.

Second, we should pay close attention to supervision. Build a supervision system with unified leadership, comprehensive coverage, authority and high efficiency of the Party, strengthen political supervision, do a solid daily supervision, and ensure that the power entrusted by the Party and the people can be correctly exercised.

Third, it is necessary to strictly grasp and enforce discipline. Strictly enforce the party's political discipline and political rules, resolutely guard against the "seven haves," put discipline in the forefront, and use iron discipline to forge the whole party into "a hard piece of steel." Statistics show that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, by the end of June this year, a total of 3.804 million people have been punished by party discipline and government affairs.

Fourth, it is necessary to grasp and administer officials strictly. Strictly investigate the behavior of running for office and demanding official positions, buying and selling official positions, and canvassing for votes and bribery, and resolutely rectify corruption and unhealthy tendencies in the employment of personnel. Strengthen daily management, timely talk to and inquire about problems, remind and correct them, so that party members and cadres can truly feel that strict management is love.

Fifth, we should be strict in grasping work style. Perseverance in implementing the spirit of the eight provisions of the central authorities, persistently rectifying the "four winds", strictly investigating the trend of hedonism and extravagance, and accurately treating prominent problems of formalism and bureaucracy. Since the end of June this year, the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China has investigated and dealt with 637,000 cases of spiritual problems that violate the eight provisions of the Central Committee, and 558,000 people have been punished by party discipline and government affairs.

Sixth, we should pay close attention to anti-corruption and strictly. Adhere to no forbidden areas, full coverage, zero tolerance. Resolutely investigate and deal with leading cadres who do not rein in and do not relent, resolutely investigate and deal with corruption cases in which political and economic problems are intertwined, resolutely punish the flies and corruption around the masses, and promote the integration of not daring to be corrupt, not being able to be corrupt, and not wanting to be corrupt, and constantly achieving greater results in governance.

Wang Jianxin said that these facts have eloquently proved that our party's comprehensive and strict management of the party, the rectification of the work style, discipline, and the fight against corruption are by no means empty words; they have always been unswerving and consistent, reshaping the image of our party, taking on a new look, consolidating the party's unity and unity, and making our party stronger in the course of revolutionary forging, thus providing strong political guidance and a strong political guarantee for the development of the cause of the party and the state.
