author:Bright Net

The 4th China International Import Expo, to be held in November, attracted many manufacturers from South Pacific countries. This year, more than 50 new Zealand companies have signed up to participate in the exhibition, and Vanuatu companies will also exhibit their own special products at the Expo. Exhibitors look forward to better displaying their brand image to consumers through the Expo and bringing new opportunities to enterprises.

A few days ago, some of the exhibits participating in this year's Shanghai Expo were loaded from Auckland Port, the largest port in New Zealand, and set off for Shanghai. The head of COSCO SHIPPING Group (New Zealand) Co., Ltd., which provides exhibit transportation services, said that since the outbreak of the new crown epidemic, port congestion and container backlog have brought great challenges to shipping. In order to ensure the smooth participation of exhibits, the company has developed a number of transportation plans to ensure that the impact of the epidemic is minimized. The exhibits destined for Shanghai include dairy, wine, chocolate and coconut oil, all of which are specialty products from New Zealand and the South Pacific island nation of Vanuatu.

Aland, an exhibitor from New Zealand, once participated in the first CIIE, and this time, his trading company specially organized the products of more than 20 small and medium-sized New Zealand companies to participate in the exhibition. They look forward to showing their brand image to global consumers and expanding sales channels through the Shanghai CIIE.

CIIE provides a platform where we can enhance and expand our business in China.

Rachel Medmunter said that because the Chinese government has taken a series of strong measures to effectively curb the spread of the epidemic, so that the country's economy has recovered rapidly, for more than a year, New Zealand's commodity exports to China have not only not decreased, but shown strong growth, and the boost effect of China's economic recovery on the global economy is obvious.

Rachel Medmunter, Executive Director, Council for the Promotion of New Zealand-China Relations: New Zealand's merchandise exports to China have grown strongly, up about 12.3% as of June 2021. Areas with particularly strong growth include dairy, wood, meat, and some of our fruits. During this period, our imports from China also increased significantly, by 8.9%. At this year's Expo, New Zealand companies will participate through their own brand platform and the New Zealand brand pavilion, and we are very much looking forward to showing our leading industries and our culture through the New Zealand virtual pavilion."
