Producer Greg said that the third season, unlike the first two seasons, was broadcast on the web, so there would be more creative freedom and more room to show adult-oriented content. Hai Shao dubbed Khary Payton also mentioned in the podcast that the third season will have a very dark plot.
The Teen Titan comics featured the Dark Side Club, a villain group that specializes in kidnapping super-powerful teenagers. And as the name suggests, it's Darkside (alias club owner Boss Dark Side) behind the scenes, with Desaad and Granny Goodness responsible for brainwashing the kidnapped superpowers and then using them as underground illegal gladiators. The ending of the second season of Shaozheng also implies that the future villain will be Darkseid.
The comics sparked the kidnapping of the Teen Titans member Demon Boy, which sparked the attention of mainstream hero groups, and Shizune, who was originally a milestone comic, officially entered the DC Orthodox Worldview as an underground fighting champion in this chapter. In the end, the Martian Maiden transforms into the underground organization and works with the young Titan to sabotage the plot.
