【Synopsis】
Like Wan Ma Tse-dan's previous works, Tharlo remains a Tibetan subject and is the first Tibetan-language black-and-white film directed by Tibetans. The film is adapted from a short story once created by Wan Ma Tse-dan and shot in Guide, Tongde, Guinan and other places in Qinghai Province.
The protagonist of the film is A simple and kind shepherd Tharlo, who is bent on serving the people, but as he comes to the city and meets his beloved girl, the harsh reality breaks his simple ideals one by one. Tibetan poet, actor and musician Shidé Nyima plays the main character, Tharlo.
