As agreed last week, this week we're going to talk about the second film in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Ha 2). When I watched this movie in theaters that year, I felt that it was too similar to the first "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" (Ha 1), which made me think: if the last five (at that time did not know that the film was going to divide the original seven into the upper and lower two parts) would be too cookie-cutter according to this routine, it would not be much to watch. Thankfully, it turned out I guessed wrong. In addition to the two routines of Ha 1 and Ha 2 are similar, the latter is really very different, it seems that the first two are just to give "Harry Potter" and his friends some exercise opportunities, is a small challenge of learning nature, after all, they are only in the second grade, although the courage is commendable but the ability is limited, if they come up with a particularly fierce big BOSS, I am afraid that they really can't handle it at a young age...
The "Harry Potter" series of stories has one thing in common, that is, the most practical class professor of "Defence Against the Dark Arts" has to change one person per department, and the most frequently mobile positions are not counted. The first is Professor Quirrell, who is possessed by Voldemort and is reduced to ashes as the ending boss in a showdown with Harry. The second film is taught by the idol magician "Gilderoy Lockhart" (Kenneth Branagh; this actor is also a very famous director, MCU No.03's "Thor" is his directorial work), but unfortunately, the professor is not good at "Forgetting Spell", but the professor is vain, and finally because of the misuse of Ron's Demon Breaker, he is eaten by his own Forgetting Curse. In the original book, there is a "wizard's hospital" section in the follow-up story, and he appears again, but there is no such plot in the movie version, so the character of Lockhart has not appeared since. In "Ha 2", the young actors are one year older and have obvious signs of growth. So the second part is still laying the groundwork, which is a prelude chapter. The director of this film is the same as "Ha 1", so the style of the film is also very close to the first one. This series of movies is still very faithful to the original on the whole, if you are not willing to read, you can appreciate the essence of the original book when you watch the movie.
As mentioned above, the national version of "Ha 1" BD is a mainland exclusive version of the disc, but unfortunately this fine tradition has not been continued, starting from "Ha 2", the national version of BD has been changed to a co-version with Taiwan (the disc does not contain Cantonese audio tracks and subtitles, so I am not sure whether it is co-version with Hong Kong). If I judge from my personal criteria alone, this Chinese version of the disc is obviously not qualified, because it has neither a mainland Mandarin dubbing track nor Chinese Simplified subtitles, and it can only be said that this is a product of a specific historical period. If you want almost complete release of Mandarin dubbing, I am afraid that the best version is only the six-zone DVD. The reason for the use of "almost" is that there is a special case, "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" (Ha 3), the Mandarin audio track in the sixth district DVD of this movie is a "reassignment version", not the original dubbing when it was released in theaters... The other seven were all dubbed in the release version. Speaking of the BD version, the picture quality of this disc is acceptable, after all, it is a long time ago, or a film film, so it is definitely inferior to the picture quality of the new film now. According to the menu style, this BD disc may still be ported from the HDDVD version. Unlike the current popular BD, this disc is automatically played after being placed in the dish, and the navigation menu does not appear first, and the general options will appear when pressing the POP Menu key during playback; while pressing the Menu key will jump directly to the "Special Inclusion" page. Also, this disc was still in the alternating period of DVD and BD when it was listed, at that time, Dolby TrueHD was still a next-generation audio track encoding, and the power amplifier that could decode was not yet popular, so the default audio track option of this disc would stop at the lower end of the AC3 gear, and everyone must remember to manually adjust it to the "Dolby TrueHD" file. The disc contains a wealth of tidbits, all of which are products of the DVD era, and no new tidbits of the BD era have been found.
