Wu Li (1632~ 1718) is one of the "Six Houses of the Early Qing Dynasty", whose real name is Qi Li, Yushan, Jiangsu Changshu people, whose family lives in the north of Changshu County. Because he lived in a Yanzi Mojing, he called himself "Mojing Daoren" and "Taoxi Resident".

Wu Li was born in a family of scholars, and his eleventh ancestor Wu Ne was the Ming Dynasty Inspector Yushi, the ninth ancestor Wu Chun was a Ming Orthodox Thirteenth Year (1448) Jinshi, and the eighth Ancestor Wu Tang was a Ming Hongzhi Twelfth Year (1499) Jinshi. However, in Wu Li's generation, the family's wealth declined, and the three brothers in the family were raised by the widowed mother Wang. In his later years, Wu Li was Catholic and carried out missionary work in the Fujian region.

When he was young, Wu Li studied painting in Wang Jian, wang Shimin, and literature in Chen Hu, poetry in Qian Qianyi, and piano in Chen Min, and was quite accomplished in poetry and painting. Wu Li and Xu Zhiwei were close friends, and Wu Li had given paintings to each other many times. "Huai Rong Tang Tu" is also one of the works given to Xu Zhiwei by Wu Li, which is now in the Shanghai Museum, and the painting is Xu Zhiwei's ancestral residence, Huai Rong Tang.

This painting is decorated in a clear color, the right side is inscribed "Fushan Gaoyang Clan Huai Rong Tang Map", the lower left corner book "Yushan Wu Calendar Painting", there is no chronology, the beginning of the volume has Wang Shimin's inscription "Gong Huai Ruiying", and after the volume there are You Dong's "Huai Rong Tang Record" and Li Kai's "Huai Rong Tang Fu", as well as Song Shiying, Lu Yidian, Wang Yihong, Wu Weiye inscription.

The close-up view of the picture is surrounded by trees and stones, which is for the Huai Rong Hall, and the peaks behind the Huai Rong Hall are heavy, the smoke clouds are ethereal, and a path between the two peaks is hidden in the forest.

In the lower right of the hall, there is a field forest, and the cottage in the distance is faintly visible on the left. There is a tall and tall locust tree in the middle of the Hall of Huai Rong, and there are three people in the house, the red-robed and green-crowned one is Xu Zhiwei's father, Bi Gongbi is respectful, and the person sitting upright is Xu Zhiwei's grandmother, and there is a servant behind him.
