On October 26, the new book tasting meeting of "All Things Are Born - TCL Dares to Be 40 Years" sponsored by TCL and CITIC Publishing Group was held in Beijing. Li Dongsheng, founder and chairman of TCL, said when summarizing TCL's "dare to do": "One is to dare to be the first and not forget the original intention, the second is to change and innovate and keep pace with the times, the third is to transform and upgrade, and the fourth is to operate globally. ”
"All Things Are Born" is an official authorized work of TCL for 40 years since its establishment, which details the history of TCL's entrepreneurial development through the whole cycle of reform and opening up. Less than a month after the book was first released, it has received extremely high attention, reaching the top of the list on multiple platforms such as the Jingdong bestseller list, the new book list, and the dangdang network new book hot list and the new book management list.
The book "All Things Are Born" is composed of three main lines, one is industrial upgrading, technological innovation and core capability improvement, the other is internationalization and global exploration, and the third is the enterprise reform that runs through the development of TCL. The three main lines are intertwined and supportive, which together constitute an important factor in the development of TCL in the past 40 years. The whole book describes that TCL started from a local enterprise that produces audio tapes, entered the manufacturing industry of home appliances and consumer electronics, after 40 years of continuous reform and innovation, transformation and upgrading, has formed three core industries of intelligent terminals, semiconductor displays, semiconductor photovoltaics and semiconductor materials, has a complete layout of the global industrial chain and supply chain, and grows into a globally competitive technology industry group.
On the "road of Chinese manufacturing under the global changes", Li Dongsheng pointed out that under the change, China's manufacturing industry must change itself to adapt to changes. Taking TCL as an example, in the past decade or so, TCL has been working hard to deepen the industrial chain supply chain into the world, and the global layout can minimize the impact of trade protectionism. Wang Chengcheng, COO of TCL Technology Group, proposed that "the globalization of Chinese enterprises is the globalization of Chinese", hoping that this book can provide reference significance for China's manufacturing industry to globalize. As a witness, Fu Heping, vice president and director of the organization department of TCL Technology Group, reviewed several changes in TCL and hoped that this real book could bring more thinking to the outside world.
Qin Shuo, the author of this book and an observer of humanities and finance, said that "All Things Are Born", as a record of the reform history of China's manufacturing industry in the past 40 years, has an objective and detailed description of China's journey to become a manufacturing power, and at the same time enhances China's confidence in moving from a manufacturing power to a manufacturing power. He believes that China's manufacturing industry should firmly adhere to the direction of globalization and further go global, "we must create more value for the local area." He specially interprets the title of the book, saying that "all things are born" comes from Zhou Dunyi's theoretical thought, and "the meaning of life is easy" in "Zhou Yi Zhi Ci".
The participants generally believed that in the complex global economic and trade environment, TCL's exploration and change experience has reference and reference significance for the current Chinese manufacturing.
