On August 14, Beijing time, there are still 4 days before the start of the first China-Japan Children's Table Tennis Challenge in 2019, and today the organizing committee of the event officially announced the big list of Chinese and Japanese teams.

The Chinese delegation was headed by Wang Liqin, vice chairman of the Chinese Table Tennis Association, Olympic champion and world champion, and Zhong Jinyong, the meritorious coach of the national team and the head coach of the "Magic Camp", served as the head coach to lead the team. The Japanese delegation was headed by Yoshihito Miyazaki, executive director of the Japan Table Tennis Association.

The 18-person roster of the Chinese team was selected through the double selection of the "Magic Camp" round robin competition and the China-Japan Children's Table Tennis Challenge Selection Competition, and the top three in each age group finally represented China in this competition. The Japanese team is led by Mikazu Changmoto, with some players directly selected by the Reinforcement Headquarters and another selected by the competition.

The first China-Japan Children's Table Tennis Challenge in 2019 is a new event IP created for high-level children's table tennis players in China and Japan, which aims to improve the level of Chinese and Japanese children's table tennis players, strengthen the exchange of table tennis skills and tactics and culture between China and Japan, enhance the mutual understanding between children and young people of the two countries, and promote the popularization and development of table tennis in China, Japan and the world.

The competition has three age groups of U7-U8, U9-U10 and U11-U12, with two male and female groups, and 18 players from each side are sent to participate, and the format includes team competitions and singles competitions.
