The new car introduced today is actually the only imported medium and large luxury sedan within 300,000, but basically not many consumers buy it, and it is difficult to see its trace, the new car is Genesis G80.

In June this year, the Genesis G80 officially ushered in the launch, with a manufacturer's guide price of 299,800-469,800 yuan, and it is also the first medium and large luxury car to enter within 300,000 yuan. It is worth mentioning that compared with the previous generation model, the price of the new car has been significantly reduced, because the starting price of the 23 models is 363,800, so it is very generous, and the official price reduction has reached 64,000.

In fact, this Genesis G80 is not only a fully imported mid-to-large business sedan, but also has outstanding advantages in all aspects. The powertrain of the 24 models has not been reduced, and it is equipped with a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine mated to an eight-speed automatic manual transmission. Although we haven't tested the latest model yet, the powertrain of the old and new models is exactly the same.

The 2.5T engine plus 8-speed automatic manual transmission is independently developed by Hyundai-Kia Group, and the whole tuning process is very smooth, although it is 2.5T, it will not be particularly aggressive to drive, and even some gearbox lag phenomena during rapid acceleration, and fuel consumption has become better. In addition, the new car not only has a standard driving mode, but also offers a sport mode, and once entered, the powertrain will become quite agile and very exciting. It is worth mentioning that the instrument mode will also turn combat red, and the seat wings on both sides will be tightened, which is really powerful.

The chassis configuration of this Genesis G80 adopts a front double wishbone independent suspension and a rear five-link independent suspension design. One thing to say, the chassis tuning skills still lack a bit of heat, and it is not particularly accurate, and there is a comfortable and ambiguous characteristic.

As for the exterior styling, you can tell at a glance that it is a combination of Bentley Bentayga and Mercedes-Benz S-Class genes, and the logo of the new car is also evocative. In order to further get closer to Chinese consumers, the manufacturer is also equipped with a special version of the sports components for China. As far as the overall appearance design is concerned, fashion, retro, and business genes are readily available.

In terms of body data, the length, width and height of the Genesis G80 are 5005/1925/1465mm, and the wheelbase is 3010mm. Compared to the previous model, the wheelbase has not changed much, but the body length has been upgraded by 10mm, mainly due to the elongated exterior components.

The interior layout design is also very luxurious. The through-type double screen, a large number of brown materials, is extremely luxurious, and this is also an imported car that I think has a real ultra-high luxury gene within 300,000. In addition, the rear row of the high-end model also has dual LCD entertainment screens, and is equipped with a footrest, all of which are properly configured.

Judging from the exterior, interior and powertrain alone, this Genesis G80 is truly outstanding. Of course, the new car hasn't officially arrived in stores yet, and we'll experience it all when deliveries actually begin.
