As the saying goes, Lao Tzu's heroes are good men, and there are no weak soldiers under the strong generals, however, in the actual situation, there are more Lao Tzu heroes and bears, and many famous courtiers and generals are defeated in the hands of their sons.
Di Renjie was a generation of famous courtiers during the Tang and Wu Zhou dynasties, who not only made great contributions to the Wu Zhou Dynasty, but also made great contributions to the continuation of the Tang Dynasty, which can be called the backbone of the country. However, in Di Renjie's later years, his ancestral hall was smashed by the people, and the smashing of the ancestral hall was no less than the tomb of the ancestors, which had a great impact on Di Renjie's reputation, and it was also a rare stain on Di Renjie's life.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="7" > Di Renjie was honest and courageous, and made great contributions to the Tang Dynasty</h1>
The reason why Di Renjie is well known in Chinese history is because of his outspokenness, loyalty to the country, no fear of power, and wisdom. In the early period of Wu Zetian's reign, as a woman, if she wanted to rule the world, her resistance was huge, so Wu Zetian began to use violence to maintain her rule, so that cool officials were all over the world, and unjust prisons could be seen everywhere.
Therefore, in the harsh political environment, it is not easy for Di Renjie not only to keep his own security, but also to contribute to the country. In 692, Di Renjie, who was then the Pingzhangshi of Tongfengge Luantai, was framed by Lai Junchen and arrested and imprisoned.
Tongfengge Luantai Pingzhangshi was like a prime minister, his official position was already extremely popular, even so, Di Renjie could still be framed and imprisoned, which showed how terrible the cool official politics was at that time.
Historical records record that "when a question is asked, the person who accepts the case has to reduce the death, and lai Junchen forces Xie Renjie to make a question to accept the opposite." Ren Jie sighed: "The Great Zhou Revolution, all things are new, the old ministers of the Tang Dynasty, willing to obey the curse." It's true!" Junchen is a young man. ”
Di Renjie has been an official for many years, and he is very familiar with Lai Junchen's means, if he would rather die than confess, 80% of him will die in prison, so renjie directly confessed to treason in order to survive. Then, Di Renjie wrote a letter containing the truth of his grievances, and under the pretext of changing clothes, he clipped the letter in his clothes and sent it back.
His son Di Guangyuan saw the letter and learned the truth, and it just so happened that Wu Zetian opened the way of speech at that time, no matter who could report it, so Di Guangyuan saw Wu Zetian, and Wu Zetian learned the truth before releasing Di Renjie.
On the one hand, we can see di Renjie's cleverness, on the other hand, we can see that Wu Zetian also looks at Di Renjie differently, and if he were replaced by someone else, he might have been tortured to death by Lai Junchen long ago.
When Wu Zetian was considering the question of succession, Di Renjie played a pivotal role, Wu Zetian wanted to make Wu Sansi the crown prince, so he asked the ministers for advice, and the ministers did not dare to answer, and Di Renjie stood up: "According to the minister, neither the heavens nor the people have given up the benevolence of the Tang Dynasty, and the foreign Kou has violated the side, His Majesty has asked the King of Liang (Wu Sansi) to recruit troops, and it takes less than a thousand people a month to recruit, and the King of Luling (Li Xian) recruits fifty thousand people in less than ten days, and if he wants to inherit the unification, he must not be the King of Luling!" ”
Hearing Di Renjie's words, Wu Zetian was furious and directly adjourned the meeting. Di Renjie's attitude was too resolute, which made Wu Zetian very unhappy, but if Di Renjie did not say, once Wu Zetian really established Wu As the crown prince, then the Tang Dynasty might be ruined.
After that, Di Renjie advised Wu Zetian many times, and after careful consideration, Wu Zetian finally made Li Xian the crown prince, so the Tang Dynasty was able to continue. If there were no bitter advice from Di Renjie and others, the consequences would be really unimaginable.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="65" > son pit daddy, was smashed by the people</h1>
In addition to major state affairs, Di Renjie also did a lot of good things for the people during his local duties. After Di Renjie was released from prison, Wu Chengsi and others still "never forgot" Di Renjie and repeatedly asked Wu Zetian to kill Di Renjie, which is also very understandable, Wu Chengsi and others were members of the Wu family, and Di Renjie advocated the establishment of Li Tang as the heir, and the contradictions between the two sides had long been made public.
Therefore, considering the interests of the Wu family, Wu Zetian temporarily demoted Di Renjie to Peng Zeling, and because of Di Renjie's outstanding political achievements, the locals set up a shrine for Di Renjie. General ancestral halls, after the death of people, people to commemorate their merits or contributions, the ancestral hall, if the merits are outstanding, or deeply loved by the people, when alive, you can also set up ancestral halls, it is called the ancestral hall.
During the Years of Long Live Tongtian, the Khitan attacked Jizhou, and the people of Hebei were panicked, and in order to defend against foreign enemies, Di Renjie was promoted to the rank of Assassin of Wei Prefecture. At that time, many people were asked to take up arms, guard the city, and repair the city walls. After Di Renjie arrived in Weizhou, he let the surname return to farming, and the people were grateful to Di Renjie.
Because Di Renjie's fame was too great, the Khitan heard that Di Renjie was sitting in WeiZhou, so he really withdrew his troops, in a sense, this is also called a soldier who yields without fighting.
Historical records record that "when he was removed from his post, his son Jinghui joined the army for Wei Zhou Sigong, was quite greedy and violent, and was hated by others, and destroyed the ancestral hall of Renjie." ”
In order to commemorate Di Renjie's merits, the people of Wei prefecture once again erected a shrine for Di Renjie, however, not long after, his son, Di Jinghui, who was then the wei prefecture sigong who joined the army, caused his father a big trouble.
When Di Renjie was transferred to WeiZhou, Di Jinghui also served in Weizhou, and Di Jinghui did not inherit Di Renjie's loyalty and integrity, but instead used his father's prestige to run rampant in the township and do no evil, which made the local people suffer a lot.
For this reason, the people of Weizhou became angry with Di Renjie, and everyone was angry and destroyed Di Renjie's ancestral hall. The news reached Di Renjie's ears, and Di Renjie immediately suspended his son's position and punished him severely.
With Di Renjie's way of doing things, he will certainly not tolerate his son, so will Di Renjie care about a living shrine? In order to rectify the chaos and for the sake of the interests of the country, Di Renjie dared to speak out in front of Wu Zetian, and even did not care about his own safety, and for the destruction of a living shrine, Di Renjie would only laugh at it.
If Di Renjie was a minister who coveted power and cherished feathers, he would certainly not have offended so many people and put himself in danger again and again.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="66" > or related to Wu Chengsi and Wu Sansi</h1>
Historical records record that "Ren Jie tasted the history of Wei Prefecture, and the officials were lisheng temples." ”
At the beginning, this ancestral hall was not necessarily built by the people for Di Renjie, but it was likely built by local officials, and the specific reason, on the one hand, may lie in Di Renjie's great merits, on the other hand, may also include the flattery of the officials, and Di Renjie himself must be very clear about this.
If it is an ancestral hall set up by the government, then do the people dare to smash it? As a result, this incident triggered the association that Di Renjie had many enemies in the imperial court, and the biggest enemy was Wu Chengsi, Wu Sansi and others, and Wu Chengsi had also wanted to kill Di Renjie many times.
If Wu Chengsi and others borrowed the topic of Di Jinghui to play a role, find someone to destroy Di Renjie's ancestral hall, disgust Di Renjie, and ruin his reputation, the same is reasonable. According to wu Sansi's dirty behavior later, it is speculated that these court traitors are likely to do so, and Di Renjie has principles and limits, but Wu Sansi and others often do whatever it takes to do bad things for the sake of power.
In fact, in later generations, the world did not slander Di Renjie because of Di Jinghui, just as the so-called right and wrong have their own merits, justice is in the hearts of the people, Tianbao Six Years, Di Renjie and Zhang Kamzhi, Wei Yuanzhong and others together with the Taimiao Temple, sacrificed in the Zhongzong Temple.
