According to reports, the documentary exposed a large number of never-before-seen recordings of Capote's conversations during his lifetime, involving his contacts with family, friends, and readers. Participants in these conversations included Lauren Beckall, Norman Mailer, André Leon Tully, Slim Keith and Gore Vidal.
