In the high school textbook "Bonded Worker", you should still have the impression that the capitalist exploitation in the 1930s made people's scalps tingle.
Yet to date, there are at least 46 million slaves around the world.
There is no shortage of tall, strong men among the victims, which makes it difficult to understand why they have been bullied and exploited.
To figure out how humans are enslaving their fellow citizens, a British psychology team recruited 3 volunteers.
Within 24 hours,
The "employer" by seizing the document mobile phone, intimidation, beatings and other means,
And there was also intense work to "domesticate" these volunteers into slavery!!!
They were surprised to find that the "making slaves" experiment was far easier than they thought.
All the arrangements for this experiment are from the real experiences of the rescued victims!!!

(In the film, a freed slave is found to tell us about it)
(Blurred but still shocking scars of the victim)

Mobile phones and licenses were confiscated, making it impossible to escape
The day of the "slave" begins at 5:30 a.m.
The "slave" needed to hand over all means of communication, such as mobile phones and licenses, and personal certificates.
The information collected is used, first, to control victims and to prevent escape, and second, to be used by criminal groups to carry out fraudulent activities.
Jane, who refused to hand over her passport, was yelled at by her "employer."
Their food was thrown on the ground, and the victims had to pick it up from the ground to eat.
From here, dignity has begun to be stripped away.
Slave owners keep saying: Eat! eat! Pick it up and eat it!
Why would anyone want to come to such a place?
The victims recounted how they had been lured.
The reason for the deception is to promise a life of food and clothing.
However, these simple promises make everyone who is struggling to feed themselves eager to go.
When they arrived, they found that the environment was much worse than they had imagined.
During the experiment, the main test began to treat the volunteers with harsh language. (The volunteers' task was to grow vegetables, and in fact the slaves did more work than this.)
At 7 a.m., two hours into the experiment, the volunteers' hands were frozen red.
It was wet and cold, but no one dared to stop working because it meant going back and getting beaten.
At this point, the victim's willpower has begun to weaken.
Out of instinct, volunteers began to want to escape, but they had no idea where they had been taken, where they could escape, or their surroundings.
Among the real slaves, they will also consider that they have no money, their language is not good, and they do not know what they can do after escaping.
He was more worried about being caught and beaten back if he failed to escape.
Slave owners already controlled their personal belongings and identification, and it was even more impossible to escape.
By this time, the volunteers were already "part" of the slave owners. (At this stage, the tone of the main test is quite polite, but soon, the real nightmare begins)
At this point, the victim understands that his body has been controlled.
The signboard of the farm where the volunteers worked (the illustration below shows: strawberries and cream, which are likely to be made by slaves.) )
An estimated 13,000 slaves lived in Britain, and many experts believe this is just the tip of the iceberg, with victims commonly found in factories, construction sites and rural farms, spread across the country.
The above text appears many times in the short film, and the victim is all around us.

There is a lot of violence, and the victims are afraid to resist because they are afraid
At 3:30 p.m., the volunteers began their second job, sorting out the waste.
The employer then drove his car in. The "slave" had to wash the employer's car.
Jane accidentally breaks the bucket, and her salary is deducted.
This was also the usual means used by slave owners to control slaves, so that slaves would be in debt forever.
Volunteer Horna accidentally splashed water on her employer, who angrily forced Horna into a corner and scolded her.
Long-term forced beatings and reprimands will put the victim under great psychological pressure for a long time.
By this time Horna's mood had collapsed.
After the intervention of a psychologist, the experiment must be temporarily interrupted.
Any slightest resistance will be immediately subdued.
Threats are not even limited to oneself, but also include family members.
Through confiscated mobile phones and other information, the employer was able to know all the information of the victim's family.

Only by becoming obedient can the pain be alleviated slightly
Slaves, like commodities, could be bought and sold among slave owners.
After 2 hours of sleep, the volunteers were rudely called up to a restaurant and started their next job.
It was 11:30 p.m.
The employer is dissatisfied with the efficiency of the volunteer Kyle, mocking Kyle as "big but stupid"!
Kyle, who was a full circle larger than his employer, continued to work with his head bowed, without a trace of anger at all.
By this time his emotions had become numb.
Providing extremely monotonous and small amounts of food, depriving them of sleep time, gradually they began to stop resisting, which meant suffering.
To the helpless, numb obedience seemed to be the only way to avoid suffering.
One will wonder, why don't they call the police? Intimidated by their employers, the slaves easily believed them, and the police could not help them.
"I was beaten more and more, but I didn't do anything wrong. One day, there was a plainclothes policeman standing at the door, but I didn't dare accept his help. ”
They did not know where they were and were told that the local police had been bribed so that they were afraid to accept the help of the police.

What remains are the ongoing psychological trauma and the unsettled slaves
The experiment was over, and the volunteers laughed and said, "Finally." ”
Less than a second later, their heads were lowered again, and their expressions returned to their original pain and exhaustion.
Obviously, the state of "slavery" did not end with the end of the experiment.
When the "employer" of this experiment greeted the volunteer,
But volunteers are still difficult to hide for employers, real fears, disgust.
All the main tests of this experiment, including Jane, one of the "volunteers", are experts in related aspects.
Strictly control the physical labor and mental torture of volunteers within the acceptable range,
In the end, the volunteers still have this feeling about their employers:
Even when you are kind, you are still so annoying.
The short film ends with this intriguing quote.
The 24-hour experiment was over, but it seemed like several days had passed to the editor as a spectator.
The slaves, who had been imprisoned for many years, did not know when the end would be, and the real victims suffered far more than in the short film of the experiment.
For the sake of profit, man enslaves the livestock; for more profit, man enslaves his fellow citizens.
From man to slave, it doesn't take 24 hours.

thinking

Former psychology professor Philip of Stanford University. Zimbardo, he once did a similar experiment.
He did a famous Stanford prison experiment in 1971 (which was also made into a movie called The Prison Experiment).
The experiment consisted of 12 people playing prison guards and 12 others playing prisoners, all of whom were students who were physically and mentally healthy and had no previous prison records. And the 12 students who played the prison guard, in that environment, when they identified with the identity of the prison guard, they would show extreme violence.
This experiment illustrates the impact of environment and identity on a person's behavior, and under the right circumstances and conditions, we are likely to become an "abuser" or a "victim".
The environment can directly affect a person's behavior and thinking patterns.
The experiment in "Making Slaves" reveals what inspiration human nature has given you in addition to the cowardice of becoming a slave (Source:
