Beijing, 23 Sep (China News Service) -- A number of old photographs embodying the period before and after the founding of the People's Republic of China were exhibited at the National Art Museum of China on 23 September, by soviet press photographer Vladislav Mikosha.

"Focus on 'Standing Up'- Mikosha Photography Exhibition in the Collection of the Multimedia Art Museum in Moscow" exhibits more than 110 precious photographs taken by the outstanding Soviet photographer Vladyslav Mikosha in China from 1949 to 1950, telling the scene of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the first year after its founding through the photographer's lens, paying tribute to the important historical moment when the Chinese people "stood up".

According to literature, in September 1949, at the invitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Soviet Union sent a film crew to China to assist the Chinese side in filming a documentary about the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the new life in the Liberated Areas. Soviet photographer Vladislav Mikosha was sent to China as a member of the film crew to participate in the filming of the documentary "The Victory of the Chinese People", and took a large number of color photos at the same time, which received wide attention.

The exhibition is divided into three chapters: "Founding Ceremony", "Dingguo Anbang" and "Putian Tongqing", which shows the image of the party and state leaders in the founding ceremony of October 1, 1949 from a unique photographic documentary perspective, such as "Mao Zedong Announced the Establishment of the Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China on the Tower of Tiananmen Square" which truly records Chairman Mao's calm, majestic and confident side, but is particularly kind.

The reporter saw at the scene that the image of the orchestra actors, students and workers who participated in the celebration of the phalanx under the lens of the photographer, such as "Members of the Folk Song and Dance Troupe" and "Female College Students of the Drama Academy", etc., each character was radiant and bright-eyed, fully reflecting the joy of the people at that time.

The exhibition also exhibits the scenes of PLA generals, soldiers, militiamen, and fighters along the Yangtze River and southeast china training and fighting, and scenes of people everywhere celebrating the victory of the PLA. For example, "tank soldiers of the Chinese People's Liberation Army" recorded the state of the soldiers who were sonorous and powerful and brave.

It is reported that the exhibition is sponsored by the National Art Museum of China, the Moscow Municipal Cultural Bureau, and the Moscow Multimedia Art Museum and will last until October 17.
