This is an orchestra spontaneously formed by nearly 60 elderly people in Huajia, named Ningxia Philharmonic Orchestra. It has only been August since their establishment in May last year, and their performance level is enough to catch up with other professional teams. Most of the members here are some music lovers and retired comrades of professional groups, who have retired from various institutions and units, and should have enjoyed the blessings of Qingfu, but insisted on exerting their residual heat in society and realizing new ideals of life.
Every Tuesday at two o'clock in the afternoon, nearly 60 members gathered from all over the world to participate in the rehearsal at the Ningxia Cultural Center, some of them came from Dawukou, Lingwu and other places 60 or 70 kilometers away, some people gave up their leisure afternoon time to come here to be busy with their dreams, and some people gave up the opportunity to play in the mountains and rivers downstream... They come from different places, but they run the same dream.
For this group of people in the fifties and sixties, their singing of beauty and singing of the motherland is the mark carved into their bones by the whole era, and they are intoxicated in every passionate song, and they trace the past in every lyric.
In their view, everything they have paid is related to happiness, and all efforts such as organizing every rehearsal and performance, finding a venue, etc. are happy; the conductor Liu Like is nearly 70 years old and still insists on composing music, and each of the more than 100 songs of the band drill is full of smiles; the logistics management teacher is the first to walk into the rehearsal venue every day, and the last one to walk out of the venue, in order to let everyone spend a full and happy afternoon in a clean and tidy space...
Here, their hearts become cheerful, their lives become colorful, and their faces are secretly changing. Regardless of fame and fortune, they only hope to continue to contribute to the national cultural and artistic cause for the rest of their lives, time is changing, the world is changing, and only their dream of pursuing happiness is indestructible.
