Yu appreciates the craftsmanship and flavor characteristics of these dishes. He took the opportunity to write a "Mingde Pavilion" plaque and an inscription for the restaurant "Famous Chef Zhang Rong", thus making this restaurant, founded in 1931, famous and famous in Sanqin.
In 1921, during the Qingming Festival, he personally visited the Xu Ji Chou Hotel opened by Xu Renfu in Xi'an Dongguan Changle Fang. This hotel has a yellow gui thick wine that evolved from the "mash trough" of the Shang and Zhou dynasties more than 3,000 years ago. The Xu family made it into a plaque and hung it high above the door of the store, and its reputation increased greatly, and it was passed down as a good story in the ancient city.
In 1942, on the way to Shu, Yu Youren took Nanning Qiang County in Shaanxi province and tasted the famous Wangjia walnut baked cake in the county town. This cake was used as a tribute during the Qing Dynasty, it is made of flour, walnuts as the main ingredient, with oil, salt and other accessories, crispy oil aroma, long aftertaste, rich nutrition. Yu's praise was great after eating. Subsequently, the business of this shop became increasingly prosperous.
In the summer of 1947, the first batch of students of Shaanxi Normal College graduated, and the relevant departments organized them to observe and study in the southeastern provinces where the educational undertakings were relatively developed. Yu's let everyone be eclectic and eat arbitrarily, just like today's buffet. The teachers and students were emotionally active and laughed continuously.
Interestingly, on the shore of Taihu Lake in Jiangsu Province, in Muyan Town, Wu County, under the LingShan Mountain, there is a famous "Shijia Hotel". Among the top ten famous dishes in the shop, there is a dish called "(Fish Ba) (Fish Market) Soup". This dish was originally called "Spotted Liver Soup". It is made of the liver of Taihu Lake's special spotted fish, supplemented by ham slices, shiitake mushrooms, bamboo shoot slices, etc., and cooked with chicken broth. In 1927, Yu Shi and his wife traveled to the West Lake to admire the gui, on the way back to the Shijia Hotel tasted the "spotted liver soup", after eating, he improvised a poem: "The old osmanthus blossoms in the world, fragrant flowers walk all over the Taihu Lake, guizhou mu du you can remember, thank you Shijia (fish ba) (fish market) soup." Some people analyzed the (yuba) (fish market) soup, Yu Shi is a Shaanxi person, and he did not really hear "Wu Nong's soft language", so he miswrote it. Later, because of his famous calligraphy and the charm of his poems, "(Fish Ba) (Fish Market) Soup" instead of "Spotted Liver Soup" has been passed down to this day, and has been passed down in the culinary world.
