In the early morning of November 30, 2016, Li Gang, a police officer from the plainclothes investigation detachment of the Lanzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau, was posthumously awarded the "Second-class Heroic Model of the National Public Security System" by the Ministry of Public Security and posthumously recognized by the provincial government as a revolutionary martyr when rounding up the car theft gang. After the case occurred, the Ministry of Public Security paid great attention to it, listed the criminal suspect Qiu Mou as a Class A fugitive, and carefully guided and coordinated the pursuit and arrest work. The party committee of the provincial department attaches great importance to it, and Yu Jian, vice governor, secretary of the party committee and director of the provincial public security department, has listened to the progress report of the case many times and assigned the relevant departments of the provincial department to support and cooperate. In the past five years, the provincial department and the Lanzhou Municipal Bureau have dispatched elite police forces to form a special case team, and with the determination and attitude of "not seeing fugitives and never collecting soldiers" and the sense of responsibility of "being responsible for the case and being responsible for comrades-in-arms", the provincial department and the public security organs at the Aba Prefecture and county levels have cooperated closely, dug deep and carefully investigated, exchanged clues, integrated linkage, and unswervingly and forcefully attacked and pursued the escape. On September 16, after the 100-day mobilization and deployment meeting for the province's public security key work, the special case group took the arrest of the fugitive as the top priority, carried out in-depth and meticulous investigation work from the aspects of his family and social relations, traveled to many places in Sichuan to find out the roots, and after continuous painstaking investigation, obtained clues that the fugitive was hiding in Aba County, Sichuan Province, quickly studied and formulated an arrest plan, and at about 2 a.m. on September 20, together with the Aba police, they set up an encirclement circle to carry out a round of arrest. The suspect begged a certain person to commit suicide in fear of the crime due to a powerful deterrent.
On the morning of September 23, the Provincial Public Security Department and the Lanzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau held a ceremony to comfort li Gang at the Lanzhou Martyrs' Cemetery to warn the heroes, remember comrades-in-arms, and carry forward healthy trends. Yu Jian attended the consolation ceremony and presented flowers and bowed to the martyr Li Gang.
Yu Jian also cordially congratulated the bereaved family of martyr Li Gang, pointing out that the murder of the law is the best consolation for the martyr Li Gang and the best consolation for the bereaved family of the martyr, and encouraged the son of martyr Li Gang to inherit his father's legacy, work hard to grow up, and strive to become a talent at an early date. He also fully affirmed the work of the special case group, comforted the police officers participating in the war on the spot, and asked the Lanzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau to commend the meritorious policemen, further stimulate the fighting spirit of the whole police, and better perform the duties and missions of the provincial capital public security.
