Overseas network on August 2 - The Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption said on the 2nd that the case was filed against Hong Kong singer Wong Yiu-ming and former opposition legislator Au Nok Hin.

The ICAC had earlier received a complaint that someone was suspected of contravening the Elections (Fraud and Unlawful Acts) Ordinance and had launched an investigation, and after consulting the Department of Justice, it filed a lawsuit against the 2018 Legislative Council by-election candidate for the Hong Kong Island local constituency, the 34-year-old Au Nok-hin, and the 59-year-old singer Wong Yiu-ming.

The charges allege that Au Nok-hin and Wong Yiu-ming were suspected of committing fraud in the Hong Kong Island Local Constituency in the 2018 Legislative Council by-election on 3 March 2018, i.e. providing entertainment to another person to induce the other party to vote for Au Nok-hsien in that election, with the entertainment being a singing performance.
