Recently, an online video showed that on the afternoon of October 2, the Ferris wheel of Fuhua Amusement Park in Weifang, Shandong Province, had smoke emitted during operation, which was suspected of malfunctioning.
On the afternoon of October 3, orange persimmon interactive reporters contacted Fuhua Amusement Park, according to the staff, the Ferris wheel did not catch fire, but smoke caused by the problem of air conditioning lines.
A manager Li said: "During the operation of the Ferris wheel, due to the circuit connection failure at the center slip ring, there was smoke, resulting in the air conditioning of the Ferris wheel gondola being cut off, and the high temperature in the gondola caused discomfort to tourists. The air conditioning power supply of the gondola is connected to the central slip ring, which is equivalent to the overload of the fuse being broken, and the air conditioner of the gondola is also cut off, but the operation of the gondola is not affected. ”
At that time, about 40 tourists were riding the Ferris wheel, and the scenic staff urgently activated an emergency plan to evacuate tourists and calm the mood of tourists.
At about 16:50, the evacuation of tourists was completed, and no one was injured at the scene. On the same day, the scenic spot has carried out a full refund and compensation for the tourists who took the Ferris wheel at that time.
It is expected to resume operations tomorrow (October 4).
