Next: Liu Gongquan's basic strokes of the Book of Calligraphy l Liu Gongquan "Ji Liu Stele" In the fourth year of the Jin Dynasty (1144), the chief monk of Puzhao Zen Temple, The Zen Master Juehai, expanded and repaired the temple, asked Zhongru Shang to write the inscription "Yizhou Puzhao Zen Temple Xingzuo", collected the ink of the famous Tang calligrapher Liu Gongquan, and carved it on the stone by gongzhong Ruxi. The monument is 2.9 meters high and 1.2 meters wide, with a total of 1261 characters. Inscribed by the character for the public power of Jiliu, this stele is called "Jiliu Stele". This stele is the same as the "Xuanmi Pagoda Stele" of Liu Gongquan in the Forest of Steles in Xi'an, so there is a saying of "East Liu and West Liu" in history, and Linyi's "Ji Liu Stele" is in the east, known as "East Liu". This stele is a famous stone carving in Linyi, and the original stele is in Puzhao Temple. In the seven years of the Kangxi Dynasty earthquake, the Jiliu Monument shattered to the ground, and during the Daoguang years, it was scraped and washed by the monks.
