In the middle of the night, the wind was singing and mourning, listening to the iron between the eaves of the horses. The South and the North are dividing.
[Du Shugao] name (same tour), Zhejiang Jinhua people. The five brothers are all knowledgeable and literate, and are known as the Five Highs of Jinhua. This poem was written by the author to his friend Du Shugao when he was idle in Shangrao in the sixteenth year of Chunxi (1189). Through the lyrics of the unfortunate encounter of friends who are highly talented and snubbed, the whole text exposes and accuses the ruling clique of the crime of suppressing talents and talking about the wrong country, and expresses the author's strong patriotic enthusiasm for recovering the lost land and realizing the reunification of the motherland.

Therefore, the author immediately turned the pen sharp and wrote three sentences of "since the past", expressing his deep sympathy for his friends who cherish their talents and are not reused. "Beautiful man" Yu Du Shugao is talented; "Bo Life" says that Du Shugao's fate is not good; "Golden House Cold", using the allusion that Empress Chen fell out of favor, Yu Du Shugao was snubbed. These three sentences are strong in emotion and rich in content. "Since the past" is embellished with the word "many", which not only upsets the friend Du Shugao's Huaicai, but also complains for the ancients, and at the same time contains the author's own anger and heartache. Since Xin abandoned his illness and returned to the south, he has devoted himself to serving the country and has the talent to enter the country, but he has been discriminated against and ostracized by those in power, abandoned and discarded, and idle in Shangrao. Judging from this kind of encounter, isn't Xin Abandoning Disease also a "beautiful person" with a "thin life" or an abandoned "Ajiao"? Here, the author poured his own block with the wine glass of others, and expressed his bitter feelings of not being able to reach out by lamenting the unfortunate encounter of his friends.

The four sentences of "go to heaven" borrow the recounting of Uncle Du's high family lineage to encourage friends to cheer up and not to be sad and desperate. This means that your family is different from others, the ancestors are the Chang'an Du family family, very close to the emperor, very favored by the emperor, once the situation changes, then you will be like a fish dragon, after some efforts, will definitely make a vigorous career. If these four sentences are only a general exhortation to friends, then the following six sentences of "rising hope" are the specific directions pointed out to friends, and they also have the meaning of calling. Now that half of the country has been destroyed, and the ruling clique of the Southern Song Dynasty is still blindly sitting and talking, vigorously advocating and propagating theory of science, resulting in a long-term division between the north and the south of the motherland, does this not require people with lofty ideals to dedicate themselves to the motherland and fight for the restoration of Shenzhou? These few sentences are not only exhortatory but also self-encouragement, grand and bold, generous and desolate, and lofty in their intentions; they not only expose the crimes of the Ruling Clique of the Southern Song Dynasty in talking about and misleading the country, but also embody the author's noble feelings of thinking of the country and his strong patriotic enthusiasm for recovering lost land and realizing the great cause of the reunification of the motherland.
