Over the past few years, Dave Bautista has repeatedly made it clear on social media that one of his dream movie roles is Bane, the villain of Batman, but the wrestling idol-turned-action movie star isn't just saying no.

While attending za's Justice League (Director's Cut) promotion, Dave Batista revealed that whenever the producer decided to resurrect the villain role on the big screen, he would organize a meeting with Warner Bros. and DC Films to more or less ask for the role of Bane.

"I wanted to play Bane so much that I went to Warner Bros. and asked them out; I asked dc and walked in the door and said, 'I want to play Bane,'" Batista said. "I'm not kidding. They're kind of like that. Wow, we don't even act non-Bane. I said, 'I don't care, I'm going to play him.' ’”

The big Dave is also too persistent, too cute, right?

Before Warner Bros. decides to bring Bain to the big screen, Batista may have to wait a while. The character was played by Tom Hardy in Christopher Nolan's 2012 comic book film Batman: The Dark Knight Rises, and his performance has been the focus of media attention for years, with Nolan saying last year that critics had bad opinions of Hardy's performance.

Will the Warner Brothers allow Hardy's work to remain in the hearts of fans and revive Bane? Robert Swenson played Bane in Batman & Robin and Hardy played Bane in Batman: The Dark Knight Rises, a gap of 15 years.

But with Warner Bros. and DC Pictures on the verge of embracing the multiverse, there's a good chance that Batista's chances of playing Bain will come soon. The upcoming Flash movie will have two versions of Batman, one played by Michael Keaton and the other by Ben Affleck. There's also Batman, directed by Robert Pattinson, which will be released in March 2022 and produced by Matt Reeves. The filmmaker will bring new versions of Penguin (Colin Farrell), Catwoman (Zoe Klavitz) and Riddler (Paul Dano) to the screen, which undoubtedly opens the door for Bane's appearance in the sequel. And this is a beautiful thing that Batista has in mind.
