Haihongfang starts from Xinchun Lane in the east and Yangyu Lane in the west. Length 216 meters, 4.2 meters.
There are three theories about the name of Haihongfang Lane. One said that there was Hai Hong'an (HaiHong Temple) in the alley, hence the name; second, there were begonias in the alley, and the begonias were also known as haihong, hence the name; third, Hai Rui's book boy Hai An, deHai Rui's wife gave a red robe from Hai Rui's life, and hung the red robe in the hall at home in the alley, burning incense and lighting candles every day. Over time, the neighbors simplified this red robe to "sea red", and the name of the alley became sea red square.
The name of the alley in Haihongfang is so lively, but there are relatively few historical relics in the alley.

The Zhou Ancestral Hall was built in the early years of the Republic of China. In the 1950s, it became a lead wire production workshop of the Haihongfang Neighborhood Committee, and now all of them are scattered into civilian residences.

Haihong Temple was built in the Yuan Dynasty and rebuilt during the Reign of Qing Shun. In the sixth year of Tongzhi (1867), the monk Rei Jiang xiu lived in it. In the twelfth year of Tongzhi (1873), Wu County's Zhi County expelled the unruly Reed River, and the monastery was confiscated as an official office.
In the early years of Guangxu, he was the Inspector of Grain and General Judgement. In the thirty-second year of Guangxu (1906), the Jiangsu Provincial Government And Politics School was established in Haihongfang Lane, Suzhou, supervised by Zhu Zumou, which was the earliest higher legal and political school established in Jiangsu, and was discontinued after the Xinhai Revolution.
In the first year of the Republic of China, Chen Fumin and others founded the Jiangsu Private Law and Politics College here, with Zhang Taiyan as the principal.
During the Republic of China and the Japanese and Japanese periods, it was a lawyer's office. After the 1950s, it was haihong primary school and Jinchang Peizhi school.
Two historical buildings remain in Haihongfang. The Zhou Ancestral Hall is difficult to repair; the ruins of Haihong Temple are completely unrecognizable. However, Haihongfang still makes Suzhou people worship like a treasure. Was it The Prime Minister Pan Shien who came out of the alley? No, the traces of the life of the Pan family and Pan Shien in Haihongfang have long disappeared and have no research value. It is because there was a literati jin shengsi who was obedient to a Suzhou person in the alley. Of course, Jin Shengsi's former residence is also difficult to find in the alley; however, Haihongfang is the only ancestral place for Jin Shengsi in Suzhou, and it is inevitable to mention That Haihongfang talks about Jin Shengsi.

Jin Shengsi (1608-1661), famous, the word Shengsi, called himself master of The Temple. A native of Suzhou in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, he was a famous literary scholar and literary critic.

Jin Shengsi was the first person in the history of Chinese literary criticism to take criticism as his life. He has commented on books such as "Water Margin", "Xi Xiang Ji", "Zuo Chuan" and other books, as well as Du Fu's Various Tang poems.
Jin Shengsi is good at helping the gods (folk spells that ask the gods. After the gods possessed, they wrote some handwriting to convey the ideas of the gods, so that believers could communicate with the gods and understand the will of the gods).) Ye Xiaoluan, the daughter of the late Ming Dynasty, the daughter of the literary artists Ye Shaoyuan and Shen Yixiu, looks good, works poetry, is good at Go and piano, and can also paint, paint landscapes and falling flowers and flying saucers, all of which have rhymes, and have the collection title "Rejuvenation Incense". However, such a talented woman in Jiangnan was jealous of heaven and died five days before marriage, when she was only seventeen years old (false age). Seven days into the coffin, the body is light. The family thought she was gone. Ye Xiaoluan's parents asked Jin Sheng to sigh and help him. Jin Shengsi replied with Ye Xiaoluan's parents with well-written verses, which was passed down as a good story by the literati at that time. Jin Sheng sighed and said that Ye Xiaoluan was originally a maid of the Moon Palace, which made Ye Xiaoluan, who was already quite well-known in Suzhou, famous in Jiangnan. In modern times and contemporaries, there are still some literati who have searched for Ye Xiaoluan's cemetery and gone to pay homage. This is also one of the materials for Cao Xueqin to conceive and create "Dream of the Red Chamber", and Ye Xiaoluan is suspected to be the prototype of Lin Daiyu.

Jin Shengsi improved the status of popular literature and put forward the theory of "Six Talents", so that novels and operas and traditional classical poetry went hand in hand, and were respected as the pioneers of the Chinese vernacular literature movement and occupied an important position in the history of Chinese literature.
Based on the above three points, it is not an exaggeration to call Jin Shengsi the first literati of ancient Suzhou. It is sad that the final outcome of this Jiangnan talent is too tragic.
In the eighteenth year of Shunzhi (1661), Jin Shengsi and more than a hundred scholars gathered at the Confucius Temple in Suzhou, and went to Yamen to present a petition to Zhu Guozhi, the governor of Jiangsu, accusing the county commander Ren Weichu of collecting taxes, flogging the people, and short of the grain that was often flattened, and demanding his removal. Zhu Guozhi, who was protected by officials and officials, reported to the various generations in the capital to advocate rebellion and tax resistance, and the Qing court deliberately intimidated the Jiangnan Shi clan and sentenced Jin Shengsi to be beheaded for treason.

When Jin Sheng sighed and was about to be executed, he looked at ease, and he was definitely a dignified Suzhou man, enough to shut up those who said that Suzhou people were "Wo Su Tou". He left behind a cut-off link through the ages. "Lotus is bitter in her heart, and pear's belly is sour." There are one hundred and twenty interpretations of a hundred people, and the words are very slang, but the meaning is not ordinary. At that time, his family listened and cried... After Jin Sheng sighed and beheaded, the mansion of Haihongfang was confiscated, and his family was sent to chong jun.
People and things in history have quietly gone far, and no matter how dark it is in the alley, they will not come back. The old well in the only alley thought silently of them.
This well is one of the ten famous wells in the ancient city, which is built to accumulate yin virtue for the elderly in the family, and is used to help the residents, which is both a righteous act and a filial piety. This makes the tourists who walk through the Sea Red Fang suddenly realize that after the ups and downs of life, after the laughter and suffering, righteousness and filial piety are the avenues of life.
