Here are a few Chinese, Japanese and English versions, which one do you like?

Chinese Version 1:

Life is precious,

Love is more expensive.

If it is free,

Both can be thrown.

Translation: It was translated in 1929 by the famous Chinese poet Yin Fu (Bai Mang), one of the "Five Martyrs of the Left League". Yin Fu's translated poems, taking into account the characteristics of Chinese rhythmic poetry, translate each sentence into five words and have rhymes, so it is catchy to read and is the most familiar to people. However, this translation has made a major change to the appearance of the original poem, which is very classic, equivalent to re-creation.

I sacrificed my life;

Translation: The famous translator Sun Yong re-translated the poem. The translated poem was published in the second issue of the Reading Monthly in 1957.

Translation: Xing Wansheng, a famous contemporary translator and writer, has translated and published the book "Selected Lyric Poems of Petofi", and he has reinterpreted this small poem.
