Zhou Senguan plays the village cadre
Zhou Senguan is a good actor. But it ran all his life dragon set. In the Actors Troupe of the North Film Studio, he participated in many movies, but basically did not play a single leading role.
After graduating from the Central Film Bureau's Institute of Performing Arts in 1953, he entered the North Film Studio, and his first role was that of an old farmer. After that, he played the old man who shouted "safe and sound" in "Plain Guerrilla", and played Zhang Dali in "Ten O'Clock on National Day", and then played Fa Cheng in "Grain", and yang Dapa in "Little Soldier Zhang Ga".
In my memory, the village cadre he played in "Scout" and he Xiangdong, the adoptive father of He Cuigu, who played in "Little Flower", have left an unforgettable impression on us.
The veteran actor played all his life until 1992, when he was 72 years old and played a role in "Heavenly Love". He died of illness in 1994 at the age of 74.
Yu Lan plays Sun Da Niang
"Scout" is the last film starring the famous film performance artist Yu Lan.
Before this, many of the images she created on the screen were very deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, such as Cheng Niangzi in "Longsugou", Xiang Wu'er in "Cuigang Red Flag", Zhou Lian in "Revolutionary Family", and Jiang Jie in "Eternal Life in the Fire". Her performance style is unpretentious but passionate and very personal.
However, in the special era, she and her husband Tian Fang, as the key "gangsters" of the North Film Factory, were overthrown, and then they were sent to the "May 7 Cadre School" of the North Film Factory in Paradise River, Daxing County, a suburb of Beijing, to participate in labor. And it was here that Yu Lan fell a lifetime of disability, that is, during a labor, she accidentally fell off the roof, eventually causing her facial muscles to twitch involuntarily. This makes it impossible for her to shoot close-ups, close-ups, etc. normally.
Therefore, after starring in "Scout", Yu Lan moved from the front of the curtain to the backstage and engaged in directing work. She directed films such as "Sari Mako" and was responsible for the establishment of the China Children's Film Studio and served as its first director. She worked diligently until she retired at the age of 80.
Yu Lan is an old artist of virtue and art in China, and is the "22 stars" that everyone loves. On June 27, 2020, Yu Lan passed away at the age of 99.
Guan Changzhu plays Sun Cheng
Guan Changzhu is an actor that Wang Xingang admires very much. What he is most optimistic about is Guan Changzhu's rigorous creative attitude and his dedication to giving up everything for the role. Therefore, when filming "Scout", Wang Xingang said to everyone, such a good actor is not trained, who to cultivate?
As an actor, Guan Changzhu also has an excellent appearance. He has a handsome image and facial features similar to Guo Zhenqing, who became popular because he starred in Li Xiangyang in "Guerrilla on the Plains". But he is more handsome than Guo Zhenqing, which makes his screen image more handsome.

But unfortunately, he also died very early, and on May 3, 1994, Yu Shaokang, an old drama bone of Beiying, left this world at the age of 69.
Shao Chongfei plays Huang Yuxuan
The name Shao Chongfei is unfamiliar to many viewers, but Huang Yuxuan, the leader of the enemy artillery regiment who played in "Scout", is so vivid and ready to come out. I think he, together with Wang Debiao, played by An Zhenjiang, presented the most jokes in this movie.
In the film, the "IQ" of the Huang regiment leader he played was a little low, and Guo Rui, played by Wang Xingang, played a circle, and finally after knowing the truth, he was "dumb and eating Huang Lian, and there was bitterness that could not be said", so he had to confess truthfully according to Guo Rui's instructions.
