Baoding, China, October 10 (Lu Zihao, Xu Qiaoming) On the 10th, the first city marathon in Baoding, Hebei Province, began, and Olympic champions Pang Wei, Wang Han, Li Bingjie, Zhang Yipan and others came to the scene to help their hometown.

It is understood that the event with the theme of green, ecology and health, guided by the Sports Bureau of Hebei Province, sponsored by the Baoding Municipal People's Government, and undertaken by the Baoding Municipal Sports Bureau, the event set up two projects: half marathon (21.0975 km) and mini marathon (3.5 km).

At the scene, 10,000 runners from 31 provinces such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Shandong, Henan, Shanxi, Liaoning and Hubei set off from the East Lake section of Qiyi Road in Baoding City, crossed the streets and alleys of Baoding, and viewed the achievements of Baoding's construction of a modern quality of life city.

In the end, Li Chunhui from Inner Mongolia won the men's half marathon in 1 hour, 6 minutes and 57 seconds, and Xia Yuyu, a Guizhou Bijie athlete, won the women's half marathon with 1 hour, 16 minutes and 18 seconds.

Xia Yuyu said that she is currently a graduate student in the School of Social Sciences of Tsinghua University, and began to participate in marathons in the surrounding cities of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei in 2017, and in the past few years, her physical and psychological qualities have been greatly improved, and she has become more focused on learning. "The first time I came to Baoding to compete, the urban greenery, climate and route here are very comfortable, and the audience is very enthusiastic, hoping to have the opportunity to come to Baoding."

Baoding shooting star Pang Wei said that in recent years, Baoding has changed a lot, and the masses have a renewed understanding of national fitness and sports.
