In 1912, Liu Wenzhi was born. Perhaps at the moment of birth, a poor family had already decided that her childhood would be spent in misery.
At that time, it was in the early days of the Republic of China, social turmoil, and the peasants' lives were extremely difficult. Although the Qing government had become corrupt, the peasants still did not become masters, and their status still did not rise.
Life is already difficult, but as Li Wenzhi grew up, his parents gave birth to four children one after another. The arrival of these four children made the family, which was not rich, even more difficult.
The arrival of these four younger siblings undoubtedly changed Li Wenzhi's life. As the eldest sister, she can only take up the burden of the family, she is still a child, in addition to helping the family to do farm work every day, but also to help take care of the four young brothers and sisters.
Every day before dawn, she would go up the mountain to cut firewood, and at night she would have to make a fire at home to cook. It should have been a carefree childhood, and Li Wenzhi, as a weak woman, had a thick layer of calluses on her hands.
Fast forward more than ten years, Li Wenzhi also came out of a little girl. For more than ten years, Li Wenzhi has been a sister and a mother.
But as you get older, the amount of food you eat becomes larger. The family's rice is insufficient, in order to have food for her younger siblings, she once again chose to sacrifice herself and went to someone else's home as a child bride.
Everyone knows that although the child bride can be supported by the man's family, she has to do more work to repay this kindness. Every day, she picks up dung, cuts pig grass, and does heavy work like a man.
Such days make her no longer have too much hope for her future life. But the arrival of the Red Army completely changed her miserable life.

In 1932, Liu Wenzhi was in his twenties at this time, which was a good youth. One day, there was a group of people in her village. It is also such a group of people that makes Li Wenzhi see a glimmer of light in the bleak days.
Liu Wenzhi said that on that day, many people came to the village, and the people said that they were soldiers. However, in that turbulent era, the military was not the protector in the hearts of the people, but when the military was mentioned, the people would feel afraid.
It was the same day that day, when I saw people in military uniforms, they all ran to the mountains in one fell swoop, and Li Wenzhi was the same. But in the face of such a situation, the Red Army did not feel angry, but often helped the people to do farm work in their daily lives, and often chatted with the villagers.
Over time, the villagers found that they were different from ordinary soldiers, and they not only did not oppress the people, but they would help them, and even regard them as their relatives. Later they learned that these people were not the arrogant warlords, they were the Red Army, and they had come to rescue them.
At that time, Liu Wenzhi had a strange feeling in her heart, she was touched by such a kind and confident group of people, she secretly swore that she must join this team.
In 1933, Liu Wenzhi hid from his family and became a female soldier in the Red Army. She didn't bring anything, she thought: She's going to a new life.

After joining the Red Army, Li Wenzhi was assigned to the women's platoon. Their main task was to help gay men sew clothes and mend their pants. At that time, counting Liu Wenzhi, there were only three female comrades in total, so many clothes, how could only three people be busy? In order to strengthen the ranks, Li Wenzhi actively publicized and told the story of the Red Army to the local people.
Through her tireless efforts, dozens of women have joined the women's platoon. The women's platoon of the Red Fourth Army, which originally had only three people, was later expanded to 80 people. During this period, Liu Wenzhi was appreciated by the leaders and became the platoon leader of the women's platoon.
Liu Wenzhi's two-year-long career as a red was hit hard in 1935. The Fifth Anti-Encirclement and Suppression Campaign of the Red Army failed, was forced to be helpless, and embarked on the road of the Long March. This time, she also brought with her younger brother, who was only 13 years old: Liu Wenwen.
Liu Wenwen was weak, and he was often sick, not to mention that the environment during the Long March was so harsh, and illness was even more commonplace. Liu Wenzhi also has to take care of her brother, no matter how tired, she will make a fire to make some food for her brother.
Later, Liu Wenwen transferred to the Chengdu Railway Bureau, and when he recalled this time, he said: If it were not for his sister, I probably would not be alive now. On this arduous journey, Liu Wenzhi not only saved his brother, but also saved countless comrades-in-arms who walked with her.

In the face of the rushing black river, Li Wenzhi was not in danger, and forced the women to cross the river neatly. On a high snowy mountain, a weak woman carried a male comrade-in-arms across the snowy mountain. Before entering the meadow, she did not have time to tell her comrades when she passed a salt mountain, so she dug a piece of salt and carried it on her body.
After entering the meadow, the food reserves were insufficient, and the comrades had to travel long distances during the day, and at night the comrades had to dig up some weeds to fill their hunger. Li Wenzhi knew very well that in this way, the soldiers did not have the intake of salt and did not have the strength to complete the Long March.
So every time she ate, she twisted a few grains of salt into each person's bowl. It is these few grains of salt that support the team to complete this huge long march task.
In the process of climbing the snowy mountain, Li Wenzhi saved a little girl, who was the wife of the later founding general Hong Xuezhi, Zhang Wen. At that time, Zhang Wen was weak and had been unconscious several times. Every time he passed out, Liu Wenzhi would call her up. And looking at Zhang Wen, who is seven years younger than himself, it is like seeing his brother.
In line with the principle of not abandoning anyone, Li Wenzhi carried all of Zhang Wen's luggage on his body and carried her to the top of Jiajin Mountain with his comrades-in-arms. Under the leadership of Liu Wenzhi, until the end of the Long March, the women's platoon only sacrificed two people.
Later, when he mentioned this period of history, Zhang Wen was grateful for this, and it was precisely because of people who had selfless dedication like Liu Wenzhi, regardless of gains and losses, that New China was founded, and we could have such a beautiful life.
