The 6th Beijing Literature Summit Forum was held in Beijing

On October 18th, one of the core activities of the 6th "Beijing October Literature Month", "Inheritance and Breakthrough - The 6th Beijing Literature Summit Forum", was held in Beijing Fang under Zhengyang Gate. The event was hosted by Beijing Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature and Beijing Publishing Group, and hosted by Beijing Writers Association and Beijing October Literature and Art Publishing House. Qiu Huadong, He Xiangyang, Zhu Xiuhai, Liu Jianwei, Li Fang, Chen Fumin, Zhang Li, Qiao Ye, Liu Daxian, Shi Yifeng and other well-known writers and critics, Tian Peng, first-class inspector of the Beijing Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Cao Lei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing Publishing Group, and Han Jingqun, editor-in-chief of Beijing October Literature and Art Publishing House, attended the event. Zhang Li, critic, professor of the School of Literature of Beijing Normal University and doctoral supervisor, served as the academic host of the forum.

At the forum, the guests conducted in-depth discussions on the two themes of "dialogue with history" and "resonance with the times", reviewed and summarized the creative achievements and experience characteristics of Beijing literature, analyzed and exchanged the creative styles and missions of Beijing writers, and jointly looked forward to the future of Beijing literature.

Liu Jianwei, a writer and the original director of the Bayi Film Studio, combined with his own experience in creating the film script "Blood Battle on the Xiangjiang River", pointed out that it is necessary to use a contemporary perspective to care for past history, especially from the perspective of overall historical development to dialogue with history. Writers writing history must have the spirit of advancing with the times. The right and wrong in history are judged by future generations, and the criterion for judging needs to consider what impact history has had on the present, and writers should not limit their understanding of history to a conclusive conclusion, but should think about the enlightenment of history through the present, and reflect reality by writing history.

Writer and screenwriter Zhu Xiuhai believes that when we look back on history, we are all concerned about today. Writing history is a big topic that requires the writer's long-term commitment. The value and meaning of the writer's existence in society is to express it through writing, to touch the society with his own feelings, and the social repercussions in turn touch the writer, which is a mutual effect. "I wrote 'The White Horse Gone', and I wrote about this history of the Liberation War because I heard this story and couldn't forget it, and I saw the reactions of many readers, and I was also very touched by myself."

Chen Fumin, a critic and director of the Beijing Writers Association, believes that using literature to deal with history is to deal with time. Writers should overcome static time, activate historical knowledge, let those historical knowledge come from the distant past, so as to become fresh and effective knowledge, nourish themselves, and nourish society. On the other hand, literary scholars must also deal with the boundary problem of historical themes, "Literary scholars must guard their own boundaries, no matter how much literary fiction and imagination ability, basic historical materials and static history should be respected as necessary." ”

Li Fang, a writer, deputy editor-in-chief of the overseas edition of the People's Daily, and vice president of the China Essay Literature Association, believes that history has three characteristics, one is the consciousness of time; the other is the presence of ideas; and the third is the openness to the future. The difference between a writer and a historian writing history is that what a writer writes about is the part of man who is human, and in the final analysis, it is the belief and courage to know that he cannot do it. The recently released movie "Chosin Lake" is set against the backdrop of the Battle of Chosin Lake in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, telling a magnificent history of war. In the movie, a large number of historical details such as "single clothes crossing the Yalu River" and "ice sculpture company" are the most impactful and infectious to depict, which is moving. It is precisely these seemingly impossible but unexpected events that give people the ideological value power to struggle and inspiration, which is where the power of literature and art lies.

Liu Daxian, a young critic and researcher at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, believes that writers and historical dialogue must have a world vision and an international perspective. He believes that dialogue with history should have a sense of history, and writers can only better serve history if they serve the current life well, which is the meaning of history to writers. For the masses, history is not only a cognitive function for us, it also has the function of education, which fundamentally affects our emotions and makes us love our country.

Qiu Huadong, a writer and secretary of the Secretariat of the China Writers Association, believes that part of novel writing is a sweet imagination of history, and the other part is writing in the same time and space as life. Among them, writers must have the ability to transform life experience and life feelings into literary writing. The future of urban literature is incomparably broad, it is the writing direction and writing space that writers should pay special attention to, and at present, for writers, living in a great city, it is necessary to establish a relationship with the city, "if you find the relationship with the city, you can find the relationship with the resonance of the times." ”

He Xiangyang, a writer and head of the Creation Research Department of the China Writers Association, combed through the development genealogy of Beijing literature and Beijing writers in detail. She believes that Beijing literature has entered a new era of five generations of writers, and the inclusiveness of Beijing culture has achieved the unique civilian spirit of Beijing literature. From the Xiangzi of Lao She's "Camel Xiangzi", to the mane in Chen Jiangong's "Mane", to Zhang Damin in Liu Heng's "The Happy Life of Poor Mouth Zhang Damin", as well as Bai Dasheng in Tie Ning's "How Far Is Forever", and Chen Jinfang in Shi Yifeng's "There Is No Chen Jinfang in the World". She believes that the inclusive and civilian spirit of Beijing literature is passed down from generation to generation.

Qiao Ye, a writer and vice chairman of the Beijing Writers Association, believes that creators must have the resonance of people's lives emotionally, and it is a question of how to write when implemented into personal creations. This requires the writer to have a cooling-off period before writing, to select and improve the hot materials of life, and then integrate them into the creation after this process. Resonance with the times is a big concept, and it is necessary to write from a small place and pay attention to the fireworks of ordinary people in order to make the writing more vivid and finally achieve emotional resonance with life.

Shi Yifeng, a writer and director of the Beijing Writers Association, believes that today's writers are more difficult to write about Beijing than in Lao She's era. "Without the background of industrial knowledge, you cannot write about Beijing, without the background of financial knowledge, you cannot write about Beijing, and now you need the knowledge background and ideological background of writers to become more and more abundant." Writers must be simple in heart and complex in mind, and only when they are complex can they see the complexity of the times, and your pen can also reflect the complex times. ”

When summarizing the activities, Tian Peng believes that literary creation is the writer's aftertaste and understanding of the continuous in-depth exploration of history and candlelight from the present, and it is the spiritual labor of the writer to resonate with the peers of the times through his own thoughts and emotions. As an extremely important part of new Chinese literature, Beijing's literary creation has been fruitful and star-studded along the way, and a large number of writers and works have shone in the Chinese literary scene at different times, leading the trend and promoting the development of literature. Facing the new era, Beijing literature has its own new mission, new responsibility, and calls for new achievements. The forum is a feast, and the wonderful sharing of the guests has brought valuable value and strength to the audience. (Zhang Pengyu)
