Although Hou Yaowen brought a lot of joy to the audience on the stage, he was not so smooth on the road of his emotional marriage, but experienced ups and downs. Hou Yaowen was married twice in his life, his first wife was Liu Yan, a dancer in the Railway Literary troupe, Hou Yaowen and Liu Yan were colleagues of the troupe, the two married in 1979, and in 1980 the two gave birth to a daughter Hou Zhan. The marriage lasted only 11 years, with Hou Yaowen and Liu Yan divorcing in 1990. At that time, the outside world had been rumored that Hou Yaowen and Liu Yan had a bad relationship, and even rumored that Hou Yaowen and Wei only had an extramarital affair.
Few people know about Hou Yaowen's first wife, but everyone knows his second wife Yuan Yin better. In 1993, Hou Yaowen married Yuan Yin, who was 20 years younger than Hou Yaowen, and after marriage, the two gave birth to a daughter. But the marriage did not last long, and In 2004 Hou Yaowen divorced Yuan Yin. Yuan Yin married Dai Zhicheng after the divorce, and there were rumors at that time that Yuan Yin and Dai Zhicheng often walked around before the divorce, and the relationship was not shallow.
After the end of the second marriage, Hou Yaowen began a relationship with a dancer named Chen Yijia, who was exactly 29 years younger than Hou Yaowen. Due to the strong opposition of his daughter Hou Zhan, Hou Yaowen and Chen Yijia have never been married.
In 2007, Hou Yaowen died of sudden cardiac heart disease at the age of 59. After Hou Yaowen's death, her daughter Hou Zhan and Hou Yaowen's brother Hou Yaohua and other relatives had disputes over the burial of ashes and the handling of inheritance. In the end, Hou Zhan and his sister also sued Hou Yaohua and others in court, and the dispute over the inheritance caused Hou Yaowen's ashes to be buried for a long time, and it took more than 3 years before the two sides finally reconciled.
