The first master class was presented by John A Lent, professor of the Department of Radio, Television and Mass Media at Temple University, Gao Weihua, producer and producer of the film "Jiang Ziya", and Cheng Teng, director of "Jiang Ziya".
The three keynote speakers talked about the breakthrough point and innovation of "Jiang Ziya", the artistic quality and commercial value of Chinese mythological animation films, the shaping of heroes in the Middle East of animation, the creation dilemma of Chinese animation films, the intention and pattern of Chinese animation films, the development trend of Chinese and world animation films, the creativity and innovation of animation short films, etc., and sorted out the historical context and development status of the development of China's animation industry for the students, and deeply discussed the creative process and cultural characteristics of animation. The keynote speakers of the second master class were Huo Tingxiao, president of the China Film Art Society, Quan Rongzhe, vice president of the China Film Art Society, Cao Jiuping, executive vice president of the China Film Art Society, and Tong Huamiao, a member of the China Film Art Society.
Huo Tingxiao focused on the film "My Father and Me" and "Chosin Lake" from the perspective of film color and art drawing, and specifically elaborated on how to create, innovate and form an overall visual sense as an artist after getting the script. From the different reflections of different social classes on "Chosin Lake" to the background of the creation of "Wolf Totem", Jeon Young-cheol shares the film fragments and the creative process from the perspective of the spirit world and art of the film. Cao Jiuping shared the behind-the-scenes creative process of "Red Sorghum" and the relevant work content and experience of the artists in the film crew.
The keynote speaker of the third master class is Bai Lijun, a famous Chinese film and television modeling expert and sun Weimin, a national first-class actor. On May 31 this year, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Qingdao Film Academy was transferred from the School of Modern Creative Media of Beijing Film Academy and wholly owned by Qingdao Haifa Group, and is the only undergraduate college in China except Beijing Film Academy.
In recent years, the rapid development of Qingdao's film and television industry, with film as the medium, Qingdao's film and television cultural industry is constantly forming an industrial agglomeration effect, and has become a new highland for domestic film and television innovation and development. It is understood that Qingdao Film Academy has 8 teaching departments, 1 basic teaching department, 1 international education college and 1 film and television creation center, with 23 undergraduate majors and more than 2,300 students. Up to now, the school has successfully organized students to jointly create more than 300 video works, and won hundreds of awards at home and abroad. Many of his works have emerged on the international stage, winning the Best Director Award at the Los Angeles Short Film Festival, the Best Short Film Award in New York, and being shortlisted for the Short Film Corner Section of the Cannes International Film Festival.
