Xu Yajun did not stay under the aura of the director of the last road, Xiongqi, and in the recently released movie "Everything About My Mother", he returned to his daily life and played his taciturn and unspeakable father Li Wenfang. In the play, as a husband, he rarely cares about this family, and everything is taken care of by his wife (played by Xu Fan). Although he was a doctor, he did not know that his wife was already seriously ill, and there was not much time, and there was no way to save his wife's life by looking for medical treatment.

He generously shares the bits and pieces of life, and in real life, he is exactly the opposite of the image played in the play, a "star father" who can call his son a brother and a brother, and is very grounded.

Xu Yajun: There was once a particularly strange remark that marriage is the graveyard of love. But in this play, what I see is not. At the beginning of the film, this character is like a transparent person, with a low sense of presence at home, enjoying Peizhen's back and forth (care) up and down, arranging the home very well, taking care of the daughter, and then taking care of the mother-in-law.
When he found out that his wife was sick, he exhausted all his strength and could not save this life. I think what he is doing for his wife at this time is the kind of real love, a burst and expression of affection, not the graveyard of marriage that some people say.
"All the performances don't stand up to the truth"
Xu Yajun: I always say that when filming this play, there may be no acting skills to use, you must feel and experience with sincerity, you need to really use your inner world to integrate into the inner world of this character. The lines in this play and the performance of the characters are simple and unpretentious. When many viewers watch the play, they will think that my mother often talks to me like this, and then my daughter will often treat me with this attitude, which may be particularly grounded, but it is precisely these things that move people, can make people resonate and associate.
Cooperation with Xu Fan: natural tacit understanding

Xu Yajun: I think it is a good thing, we are all graduated from the same school, the concept and system of education are the same, and even some teachers who have taught her have taught me. In the past, I have also seen many of her works, and I have learned a lot about each other's works. When we were together this time, I felt very harmonious, and there was no feeling that it seemed to be very strange, and it took a while to get acquainted, and then to find the kind of husband and wife of the characters in the play.
Love should be from the other person's point of view
Xu Yajun: Because my mother is also very old, my mother is 85. In fact, filial piety is easy to do, but it is difficult to be smooth. You already feel very smooth, but not necessarily. Do you really stand in the heart of the old man and think about it? Including the relationship between husband and wife, do you really think about this problem from the perspective of your wife? With our children, do we parents really stand in the child's perspective and think for them? Seventeen or eighteen adolescence, he will completely look at the world in his own way, how should we parents look at this child who broke out of the cocoon and looked at the world with his own bright eyes? We should guide and channel more, not more coercion. Not just love is enough, it may require more thinking.
"Two sons changed everything for me"

Xu Yajun: The eldest son was born, when I was 35 years old, which completely changed my life, my world view, and completely changed. Because I suddenly felt another sense of responsibility, the sense of responsibility of fatherhood. Including my own re-examination of everything I have, my work, my life.
The birth of the youngest son is the icing on the cake, a little ghost spirit you know? I love my two sons super, I thought I was going to have a daughter, I like girls so much and wanted to have one, and it turned out that both were sons. So when I was filming this scene, because Jingyi played our daughter, she was only one year older than my eldest son, so in my heart I regarded him as a daughter.
The kind of love for children is a particularly unconscious outpouring, including when I played a couple with Sister Fan, your love for the whole family is really a subconscious outpouring.

Xu Yajun: He was in his junior year, in the row of big plays, and then he would often tell me this time, Dad, at 11:30 p.m., said that he was watching "Hamlet", he said it was too difficult to act, "Hamlet". I said son, this is a classic drama work in the world, I said I have not acted, I said if you can be lucky enough to go on stage to perform, I said you must be serious about this. He would always share with me some of the things he had learned from his studies and some of his confusions, and he would share them with me at any time, and I would also talk to him about some of my situations in the crew.
Traffic era: Every period has excellent and general
Xu Yajun: Each period has the characteristics of each period, including people, and the actors are the same. Some people say that small fresh meat is a derogatory term now, but in fact, I don't see it that way, there are many young people who are very good, they work very hard. There were also a lot of actors in our time who didn't really work hard, so every period had excellent and general work.
I've been filming recently, including a lot of collaborations with young actors over the years, and I think they're really hard working, very good. You can also learn a lot from them that kind of virtue that we don't have, and it really is.
