The origin of the variety and its name. According to the old tea farmers, in 1898, the tea farmers of Li Zaiping Village in Wuling cut out branches from a large black leaf single-bush tea tree in the village of "Dezailiao" (later changed to Yahou Village) for cuttings, and carefully cultivated eight tea seedlings, which were planted in tea gardens with different geographical conditions. After growing up, except for the different shape of the tea tree, the other trees maintain the excellent traits of the original mother tree, so they are called "de-zailiao" species.

Asexual propagation plant, tree age of more than 100 years, tree height 5 meters, tree posture semi-open, tree width 5.2 * 5.6 meters, ground stem circumference of 1.01 meters, the lowest branch 90 cm from the ground, dense branches.
The leaves are obliquely grown, the leaves are long oval in shape, the tip of the leaf is blunt and pointed, the leaf surface is raised, the leaf color is dark green, shiny, the leaf body is folded inward, and the leaf hardness is medium. The veins are obvious, the leaf margins are wavy, the teeth are thin, shallow and sharp, the germination is dense, the buds are green, and there are a small amount of fur.
Small tree type, cuttings are more fertile. Its asexual breeding offspring have been widely cultivated in the Phoenix Tea Region and Chao'an County tea-producing towns. It is also one of the main cultivated varieties of tea plants in the Phoenix Tea Area.
