On September 8, at the 2021 China International Fair for Investment and Trade - 2021 China (Xiamen) International Tea Industry Investment and Trade Expo, the Cross-Strait Tea Industry Exchange Association officially awarded Zhao'an County in Fujian Province the title of "Hometown of China's Eight Immortals Tea" and held a medal awarding ceremony. This is the eighth business card obtained by Zhao'an County after the titles of "Hometown of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Art", "Hometown of Chinese Green Plums" and "World Longevity Township".

Zhao'an County is a key tea-producing county in Fujian Province, with a long history of tea production, and is the origin and main production area of the Eight Immortals Tea Tree variety. As of the end of last year, Zhao'an County's tea planting area was 53,000 mu, with an annual output of 13,700 tons and an annual output value of 1.4 billion yuan. Among them, the area and output of Eight Immortals Tea account for more than 80%, which is the pillar industry of local agricultural and rural economic development and rural revitalization.
