This sentence was written by Liang Shiqiu in his essay "Sending Off", quoting the words of a friend.

A friend said, "You go, I won't send you." You come, no matter how much wind and rain, I will go and pick you up. "I appreciate that mood the most.

This article is included in Liang Shiqiu's collection of essays, "Yashe Sketches". I don't know how many people, like me, began to contact Liang Shiqiu's works through such an article and such a book, and then became interested in his life experience.

Liang Shiqiu has written a lot about eating. When Hu Shi was the president of Peking University, he used a pot to entertain Liang Shiqiu, the son-in-law of Jixi. Afterwards he wrote:

A large iron pot, almost two feet in diameter, was served hot on the table, and it was still boiling, a layer of chicken, a layer of duck, a layer of meat, a layer of oil tofu, dotted with some egg skin dumplings. Underneath are radishes and greens, which taste great.

From this article, we can know that hu shi's wife Jiang Dongxiu made this dish that is atmospheric, delicious, and affordable, just like Mrs. Hu's personality. We also know that liang Shiqiu was the son-in-law of Jixi, that is to say, his wife was a Jixi person.

Indeed, Liang Shiqiu, who was born in Beijing in 1903 and graduated from Tsinghua University to study British and American literature at Harvard, usa, and his wife Cheng Jishu were from Jixi, Anhui. On November 27, 1974, Liang Shiqiu and singer Han Jingqing met and immediately began a passionate love.

Han Jingqing was only 43 years old at the time, her hometown in Hubei, her family was very rich, although she herself was a person in the entertainment circle, she had a deep cultivation of traditional Chinese studies, and at the age of 23, she published "Han Jingqing's Sketch Collection". Moreover, she is also a fan of Liang Shiqiu.

Before meeting Liang Shiqiu, she had two relationships that paid a lot, but neither ended well. She said: The truth is not that I am weak and widowed, but that I have encountered inhumans.

Now, she has met her idol Liang Shiqiu, although she does not have any special ideas, but the two talk very happily, they are still unfinished, but they cannot deceive themselves.

And her talent and gentleness surprised and sighed to Liang Shiqiu, and gradually soothed the pain of his widow. He can be said to be in love with Han Jingqing at first sight, the two talk about everything, and began to correspond and date.

Han Jingqing knew Liang Shiqiu's intentions and refused his pursuit in order to introduce him to the object. She said, "I'll make you a red lady!" Unexpectedly, Liang Shiqiu blurted out: "I love red lady." ”

He confessed, but Han Jingqing still flinched. It's not that they don't love him, but there are too many practical obstacles between them: the age difference is 28 years, Liang Shiqiu has just lost his wife, he still has children...

However, Liang Shiqiu wrote letters every day, often asking her to meet for dinner, visit parks, chat, and he even wrote letters to his daughter, taking advantage of the return to the United States to deal with his wife's accident claims, interviewed her daughter, and gained her understanding.

At this time, it was less than a year before the death of his wife Cheng Jishu.

Under such background conditions, Han Jingqing's hesitation can almost be said to be instinctive self-protection. However, Liang Shiqiu's enthusiasm and persistence ignited Han Jingqing's love fire. She has been emotionally wounded, so she can clearly identify what true love is.

Social opinion and secular prejudice are all in the end, and Liang Shiqiu and Han Jingqing decided to be together.

Love affairs with too much age difference will always provoke discussion, not to mention two celebrities, and one is a professor, just lost his wife, and the other is a singer in the entertainment industry, who is in the prime of his life. Suddenly, all kinds of ugly words came to them like a tide, and most people did not believe that there was love between them.

On March 30, 1975, Liang Shiqiu returned to Taipei from the United States, and quietly married Han Jingqing, who had known and fallen in love for less than half a year, and made up for the wedding on May 9. After marriage, the two quickly passed through the run-in period, and Liang Shiqiu was rejuvenated and began to create again. They responded to all the voices of opposition with a sweet and happy life.

Liang Shiqiu and Han Jingqing spent 12 years together. The first few years were very happy, and after that, it was basically Han Jingqing who took care of Liang Shiqiu. In 1994, seven years after Liang Shiqiu's death, Han Jingqing also passed away to find the person who was waiting for her under the NaiHe Bridge. This controversial but infinitely emotional love story has only come to an end.
