the fourth major event of the land resistance - the rescue of Shouchun

In the first year of Jianxing (252), Sun Quan died, Sun Liang succeeded to the throne, and Lu Kang was promoted to the rank of general of Fenwei.

In the second year of Taiping (257), the Wei general Zhuge Shi rebelled against Sima Zhao's dictatorship in Shouchun and asked for help from Eastern Wu. The State of Wu sent the generals Wen Qin, Quan Yi, Quan Duan, and Tang Zhi to enter the city before the Wei army besieged Shouchun. Of course, in the end, Shouchun was still attacked by Sima Zhao, and the death of the Wu army in the city fell, and the entire army was destroyed. Others did not mention that in fact, Lu Kang also participated in the military operation to support Zhuge Birthday, and Sun Liang worshiped him as the Governor of Chaisang and led his troops to Shouchun.

The Three Kingdoms of The Heroes of Cooking Wine, the Land Resistance Chapter (Middle) - The Fourth Major Incident of the Land Resistance on the Other Side of the Famous Historical General - The Fifth Major Event of the Rescue of the Shouchun Land Resistance - The Sixth Major Event of the Attack on yong'an Land Resistance - The clan is strong and strong, and the backyard is on fire

The Chronicle of the Three Kingdoms and the Biography of Lu Kang contains: In the second year of taiping, the Wei general Zhuge Zhi raised ShouChun to surrender, worshiped The Governor of Chai Sang, went to Shouchun, broke the Wei ya gate general, and moved to the northern general.

For this historical data, it should be said that it was the misfortune of Eastern Wu and the fortunate thing of Lu Kang. Most readers know the endings of Zhuge Birthday, Wen Qin, and others, that Shouchun was surrounded by Sima Zhao, and fierce clashes broke out between the main generals in the city, and the final outcome was relatively bleak. Eastern Wu suffered heavy losses, the entire army of 30,000 was destroyed, the Entire Clan of Eastern Wu surrendered to Wei, and the Battle of Shouchun was a complete failure.

Although the historical data clearly "went to Shouchun", the actual land resistance failed to open the encirclement of the Wei army. If Lu Kang really rushed into Shouchun, then he wouldn't be able to come out after that. From this point of view, Lu Kang is lucky.

In addition, the above historical materials also record that Lu resisted the Wei army's tooth general Yunyun and was promoted to the rank of general of Zhengbei, which was also a kind of luck. Combining the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Zhu Yi's Biography" and Pei Song's notes, it can be seen that at that time, Lu Kang followed the governor Zhu Yi to save Shouchun, and wen Qin, Quan Yi, quanduan, and others led 30,000 Wu troops into Shouchun, and then the wei army's encirclement tightened. Sun Qi, who was actually in power in Eastern Wu, led 30,000 people to rescue Shouchun again with Zhu Yi. Lu Kang fought as part of this second wave of reinforcements. However, the wei state's army to encircle Shouchun reached 200,000, and although the 30,000 people of Eastern Wu were not small, the relative number was still obvious, so it failed to break the siege.

Immediately after that, Sun Qi recruited Ding Feng and other troops and gathered 50,000 troops for Zhu Yi to attack again. As a result, the Wei generals Shi Bao and Zhou Tai took advantage of Zhu Yi's advance to sneak up on Wu Jun's heavy tun and put the land on the ground, and a fire burned the essence, and Zhu Yi had to retreat.

The Book of Wu says: "If you want to see each other differently, you will go, and you will be afraid of the land to resist it, and you will be afraid of the land, and you will be suspicious of it!" "So it goes. Make the force of the person to take it from the seat.

Sun Qiang summoned Zhu Yi, Lu Kang dissuaded him not to go, Zhu Yi did not listen, and as a result, he was captured and killed by Sun Qi. At that time, although the Eastern Wu army was unfavorable, Shouchun City was still insisting, but after Sun Qi killed the governor of his own family, he ran back to Jianye and left tens of thousands of Wu troops on the front line to his brother Sun En. In the uproar of the whole country of Eastern Wu, Sun Qiang mobilized the whole country to support Shouchun, but he killed his own main general and threw the pot at the front, leaving his troops and running back to the capital by himself, which was really unbelievable, and he was definitely not a qualified ruler. The Zhuge Rebellion and the Wu army, which were struggling to support in Shouchun City, heard that Sun Qiang had retreated, and their morale fell to a freezing point, and gradually some people surrendered to Sima Zhao.

In the end, the losses of the Wu army in the entire Battle of Shouchun far exceeded 30,000 people. As a direct result, Sun Qiang lost the hearts of the people, and the contradiction with emperor Sun Liang intensified, and then Sun Liang was deposed and replaced by Sun Xiu, and soon Sun Qiang himself was killed by the new emperor Sun Xiu.

The first wave of 30,000 Wu troops who rescued Shouchun was completely destroyed, and the general died and fell; the second wave of 30,000 attacks was blocked and returned without success; the third wave of 50,000 grain and grass was burned and had no choice but to withdraw, and most of the governor Zhu Yi died at the hands of the general Sun Qi, but Lu Kang was promoted.

Eastern Wu's record was dismal, a large number of senior generals were damaged, and someone was needed to fill the vacancies. The so-called record of the so-called general who resisted the Wei army's tooth general was obviously not very large, the name of the enemy general was not left, and it did not have an impact on the overall battle situation, and even this battle achievement could not be found in other biographies. However, it is such a small merit, in the context of the overall failure, but it has completed the land resistance.

Sun Qiang

the fifth major event of the land resistance - the attack on Yong'an

In the second year of Yong'an (259), Lu Xunbai was made a general of the Zhen Army, and left the town of Xiling to command the Eastern Wu army along the line from Guan Yuse to the White Emperor City.

In the third year of Yong'an (260), Lu Kang was granted a false festival.

In the winter of the sixth year of Yong'an (263), the news came that Shu Han was attacked by the State of Wei, and the Emperor Sun Xiu of the State of Wu ordered the general Ding Feng to attack Hefei, and the general Shi Ji marched west from Jingzhou to save Shu Han, and the two roads advanced simultaneously, but Shu Han did not wait for Eastern Wu to send troops and perished. However, Eastern Wu had already sent reinforcements composed of the Zhenjun general Lu Kang, the Fujun general Bu Xie, the Zhengxi general Liu Ping, the Jianping Taishou Shengman and many other generals, and since the allies were dead, it was necessary to adjust the strategic objectives slightly and change the rescue to an attack.

In February of the seventh year of Yong'an (264), Eastern Wu's "reinforcements" entered the shu Han homeland. In the imagination of many generals in Eastern Wu, since Shu Han and Cao Wei were inseparable, and they were allies of Shu Han, the old generals of Shu Han should be more inclined to Eastern Wu than to surrender to Cao Wei. Since Cao Wei was still unstable, Eastern Wu had the opportunity to seize a large area of land.

"Han Jin Spring and Autumn" contains: assist in the siege of the city, the constitution and the war, and the great destruction of its army. Sun Xiu was furious and sent Lu Kang and other marshals to increase the siege of the Constitution with 30,000 men.

However, Eastern Wu miscalculated. The Shu Han Dynasty Patong Taishou Luoxian insisted on yong'an City and refused to surrender Wu. At that time, Chengdu had just been in turmoil, Zhong Hui, Jiang Wei, and Deng Ai had died one after another, and the Wei garrison in Shu Han was so panicked that it actually only controlled the surrounding area of Chengdu, and a large area of the outer territory was in a power vacuum, so Eastern Wu would insist on marching. However, Luo Xian's attitude was resolute, and he repelled the Eastern Wu general Bu Xie, who was leading the way. Sun Xiu was furious and sent Lu Kang with a 30,000-strong army to surround Yong'an. Lu Kang fought for another six months, but he did not take this isolated city.

It turned out that Luo Xian had sent people to flee to the Wei general Chen Qian for help before being besieged, but at that time the situation in Yizhou was chaotic, and Chen Qian did not dare to make a decision without permission, but could only report to Sima Zhao, and the time was on the road, and more than half a year later, Sima Zhao's Jingzhou assassin Shi Hu Lie arrived. Lu Kang saw that the Wei army had arrived, and could only withdraw his troops.

Regarding Luo Xian, there are still many shining points in him that can be said, and we will talk about it later. As for the protagonist of this part, Lu Kang, unfortunately, he became the background board of the opponent in this battle. Of course, this cannot be said to be a problem with the military ability of the land resistance, because attacking from east to west first did not have geographical advantages, and The behavior of Eastern Wu in taking advantage of the danger of people was very unpopular, which was also the reason why most of the soldiers and civilians in the city were still dead and wounded. In addition, Yong'an City was a military fortress that Shu Han had painstakingly operated for decades, and the fortifications were very complete, and there was really no better way than to fence it up and wait for the food to run out. In ancient siege warfare, as long as the defender is determined, it is normal to fight for a year or two.

the sixth major event of the land resistance - the clan is strong and the backyard is on fire

In August of the seventh year of Yong'an (264), Emperor Wu jing died, and Sun Hao assumed the throne as emperor, and he made Lu Kang a general of the Zhen Army and led Yizhou Mu.

We know that Lu Kang was active in the late Eastern Wu Dynasty, and the internal involvement between courtiers and Hao clans in the late Eastern Wu Dynasty was very serious, so Lu Kang not only had to handle military affairs, but also had to pay attention to the movements of the imperial court thousands of miles away at all times, involving a lot of energy.

There is such a thing that has little to do with Lu Kang, not only can we see that Lu Kang is a person, but also can see the plight of the political situation in Eastern Wu at that time. At that time, a man named He Shao was appointed as the Taishou of Wu County, and at the beginning of his tenure, he did not leave his home. As for the reason for not going out, the history books do not say clearly, the author speculates that it should show that they are honest and honest, and do not make friends with the attitude of the local Hao clan. Wu County is the gathering place of the Eastern Wu Hao clan, and the power is a problem that Eastern Wu has not been able to solve from its beginning to its demise, and it is naturally more powerful in the late period. Therefore, He Shao's attitude made the local tycoons very unhappy and despised him.

Someone wrote in the big book at the gate of He Shao Province, "Can audit the chicken, can not cry" six words, meaning that He Shao, who will audit the poor and remote areas, like a chicken that cannot sing, came to the "big city" in Wu County and was afraid to come out of the door. This He Shao was also very temperamental, and immediately went back to the house to get a pen, and added six words on the door, "Don't cry, kill Wu'er" to reply. This means that my chicken can only crow easily, and once it does, it will kill the little rabbit cubs of Wu County!

The "New Language of the World" says: So he went to Zhutun Residence, inspected the gugu, the officers and soldiers of the land service, and the Tibetans died, and all the crimes were very numerous. When Lu Resisted, he was the governor of Jiangling, so he asked Sun Hao and was then released.

He Shao's "whistling" is really amazing. As the Taishou of Wu County, he naturally had the power to inspect the camps of various armies, so He Shao carefully conducted a careful inspection in the jurisdictional area, and indeed found many problems, including the gu and Lu families treating the state's officers and soldiers as private military service envoys, harboring people who violated the law and committing crimes in the camp, and so on, all of which were reported to the imperial court.

Many people in the Gu and Lu families were convicted and arrested, and He Shao's determination to crack down on powerful and illegal acts was evident. Friends familiar with the history of the Three Kingdoms know the status of the Gu and Lu families in Eastern Wu, Gu Yong, Gu Tan, Lu Xun, and Lu Kang, these are all big people from Wu County, Wu County, who are important in Eastern Wu, and there are many families next to them, in addition to those who are in high positions above the court, more are deeply rooted forces in Wu County.

To be fair, He Shao's behavior is called "sweeping away criminal syndicates and eliminating evil forces" today, and it takes great courage to dare to fight against the protective umbrella of criminal syndicates and evil forces. But it was very embarrassing, and the person who was talking about the Lu family now was Lu Kang. As a major general of Eastern Wu in Jingzhou, Lu Kang assumed important military duties, the Shu Han had already perished, the Jiaozhou rebellion continued, and Jingzhou faced a dangerous situation of being surrounded on three sides. However, the backyard was on fire, a large number of family members were reported by He Shao and arrested in prison, Lu Kang of course could not sit idly by, the severity of the matter was not enough to write a letter to make it clear, Lu Kang had no choice but to leave Jiangling, where military affairs were busy, and personally returned to Jianye to intercede with the emperor, and finally Lu Kang's clans were released.

This incident reflected that the Hao clan problem in Eastern Wu was terminally ill and there was no hope of treatment. He Shao's background has not been introduced, this elder brother is not an ordinary person, he is the grandson of the Eastern Wu general He Qi, and it is also considered that the three generations of grandchildren have been loyal to Eastern Wu, and the serious generals are behind the door. Moreover, He Qi, as a huijian, did not belong to the so-called "Huaisi generals", but was a serious native of Jiangdong. Such an identity, in Wu County, was still despised and insulted by the local magnates, which shows how these people behaved in ordinary days and did not pay attention to the decrees of the Eastern Wu Court.

From He Qi to He Jing to He Shao, the He family has gone through three generations, and He Shao, as the Taishou of Wu County, may already have a very high status in the eyes of ordinary people. However, the He family has been an official for generations, and the Gu family and the Lu family are at the level of "generation for phase", and the energy is far from being comparable to He Shao. When we talk about how Lu Kang, as a generation of famous generals, has the ability to rule martial arts and assist the country against the trend, we often ignore his background.

Needless to say, Lu Kang made great contributions to the continuation of Eastern Wu's life, but it was very embarrassing that his family was doing evil in the rear, what army used privately, harbored criminals, etc., and even wrote insulting words on the gate of the Taishou family, which was extremely arrogant. From Lu Kang's standpoint, there is nothing wrong with coming forward to rescue his family, and those illegal acts were not the work of Lu Kang; however, it is undoubtedly a tragedy to look at this issue from a higher perspective. Lu Kang is struggling to support such a country: Hao Qiang acts recklessly for the eyes of the heavens, dares to openly oppose the local governor, stabs Lou Zi without fear, finds a relationship and says please, even the emperor has to give face. The most tragic point is that it was Lu Kang himself who made this group of outlaws escape punishment.

Sun Hao

Such Eastern Wu was able to survive for a long time, relying on a small number of talents like Lu Kang, except for the Yangtze River Graben.

As for He Shao, in the face of the decadent and dark Eastern Wu court plus the increasingly brutal emperor Sun Hao, He Shao stepped forward and constantly spoke out and argued on the basis of reason, repeatedly advising Sun Hao to stay away from villains and abolish the severe punishment law, and finally in exchange for being severely tortured to death by Sun Hao.

In this issue, I talk about some events that are not dominated by lu kang, which may not be completely consistent with the stereotype of lu kang historical celebrities, but help us deepen our comprehensive understanding of lu kang and its people, as well as increase our understanding of the history of the late Eastern Wu dynasty. The next issue continues to tell the follow-up experience of Lu Kang, if you are interested, please like and pay attention to it, and welcome to read the articles of the three kingdoms in the past. Your support is my biggest motivation for continuous updates, thank you!
