Some time ago, Zhang Yishan's remake of "Deer Ding" was very noisy on the Internet, and in Jin Yong's pen, it was the Shunzhi Emperor who, in order to win over Wu Sangui, gave Kangxi's sister Princess Jianning Xu to Wu Sangui's son Wu Yingxiong.
In "Deer Ding", Jianning had an affair with Wei Xiaobao, and later Jianning turned Wu Yingxiong into a eunuch, and also captured him back to the capital and became a proton, and finally Wu Sangui rebelled when Wu Yingxiong wanted to escape, but wei Xiaobao gave him a croton for his horse, and did not run, but Kangxi did not kill him. In the end, Princess Jianning followed Wei Xiaobao and gave him a daughter, Wei Bench.
This is all the plot of Lu Dingji, in history, Princess Jianning and Wu Yingxiong were indeed husband and wife, and they were very affectionate, as for Wei Xiaobao, it was fabricated.
In fact, long before the Qing army entered the customs, Dolgun had promised this family affair of the Wu Sangui family, and this Princess Jianning was not Kangxi's sister, but her aunt, the youngest daughter of Emperor Taiji. After Dorgon's death, the marriage was presided over by Empress Xiaozhuang, Wu Yingxiong married Princess Jianning in the capital, was given the title of Erzhu (Forehead Donkey), and was given the title of Prince Taibao (太保), Wu Yingxiong remained in the capital as a proton, and Wu Sangui led the army to march south to Yungui. Wu Yingxiong, who was on a horse in Beijing, was not idle, and Princess Jianning gave birth to several children such as Wu Shipan and Wu Shilin.
Later, Wu Sangui rebelled in Yunnan, and before rebelling against the Qing, Wu Sangui sent people to the capital to prepare to secretly take back Wu Yingxiong, but Wu Yingxiong refused to return to Yunnan in order to stabilize Kangxi, but only sent his eldest son Wu Shipan out.
Later, when word spread to the capital about Wu Sangui's rebellion, Kangxi arrested Wu Yingxiong and imprisoned him, and a year later he was executed along with his second son Wu Shilin. Princess Jianning was imprisoned because she was a clan member and her youngest son was spared execution.
After eight years of war, the San Francisco Rebellion was completely quelled, the Wu family was cursed, and Kangxi killed Wu Yingxiong's other children, namely Wu Sangui, "the second youngest grandson, and the grandsons beheaded and abandoned the city".
In this way, only Princess Jianning herself was left, lonely and bitter, and died after twenty-three years, at the age of sixty-three.
