His wife could not have children, and he did not abandon him, and he did not find a new love. The two members had no children, so they adopted a girl from their brother, and He Yingqin and his wife regarded the children as their own and carefully cultivated them. At the time of liberation, the Nationalist army fled to Taiwan in defeat, He Yingqin also came to Taiwan, and his wife was diagnosed with terminal cancer, at that time, He Yingqin had long been away from political affairs and was bent on taking care of his sick wife at home. After sending his wife away, He Yingqin lived in Taiwan until the age of 97, which is also considered a long life.
Chen Cheng, the second person of the "Eight Great Kongs," was the most loyal of the eight to Chiang Kai-shek, and his loyalty touched Chiang Kai-shek very much. Chen Cheng's second wife was Chiang Kai-shek's dry daughter, so as Chiang Kai-shek's dry son-in-law, he also held absolute power within the Nationalist army. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he has been active in Taiwanese politics and died of liver cancer in Taipei at the age of 67.
Gu Zhutong ranked third in the "Eight King Kongs". At the time of liberation, Gu Zhutong fled to Taiwan with Chiang Kai-shek, served as minister of national defense in Taiwan's Nationalist government, and was active in the political arena for a long time, and he can also be called one of Chiang Kai-shek's confidants. Chiang Kai-shek attached great importance to Zhu Tong, because he was cautious in his handling of people and had the title of "saint in the army" in the ranks. He had two wives and 10 children, and he lived to the age of 94 to be called a long life.
Liu Zhi was the fourth of the Eight Great Kongs, an important figure in the Nationalist army, who had participated in the Northern Expedition and the Central Plains War, and his loyalty was recognized by Chiang Kai-shek. He was known as a "lucky general" during the Northern Expedition, a "general who won a long victory" in the Central Plains War, and a "long-legged general" during the War of Resistance Against Japan. After liberation, Liu Zhi worked as a primary school teacher in Indonesia for three years, and five years after liberation, he settled in Taiwan, living a plain and comfortable life, and he wrote about his past experiences in a book. Until 1971, Liu Zhi ended his 79-year life.
Zhang Zhizhong ranked fifth in the "Eight Great Kongs". He was the only general among the eight who remained on the mainland, and the only one who had not fought with our army. Although he was in the Kuomintang, he had a patriotic heart, he opposed the civil war, he was patriotic, and liberated Xinjiang under his facilitation. After liberation, he held important positions and made great contributions to the promotion of national unity and social construction. Zhang Zhizhong died in Beijing in 1969 at the age of 79.
Qian Dajun loved money as his life, held an important position in Taiwan after liberation, and was once the chairman of China Airlines, Qian Dajun eventually died of liver cancer in Taipei.
Jiang Dingwen was famous in the military circles during the warlord melee, and was deeply favored by Chiang Kai-shek and He Yingqin. Jiang Dingwen gambled indiscriminately and once lived in more than a dozen countries such as the United States and Europe on the eve of liberation. After liberation, he followed Chiang Kai-shek to Taiwan.
The last of the eight King Kongs, Chen, was also the most ordinary of the eight, who served in the China Merchants Bureau after retiring from the army in Taiwan and died in Taipei in 1971.
