On the afternoon of August 14, Huang Biao, secretary of the Panyu District Party Committee, led a team to Xiaoguwei Street to investigate the water environment treatment work. Sun Yue, deputy secretary of the district party committee and director of the Management Committee of Guangzhou University Town, Guo Yishan, deputy mayor of the district, and responsible persons of relevant departments such as the district party committee office, the district water bureau, and Xiaoguwei Street participated in the investigation.

Huang Biao and his party first came to Beitingyong, Xiaoguwei Street, to listen to the briefing on the water environment treatment work of Beitingyong, inspect the water quality testing of Beitingyong on the spot, and understand the results achieved in the environmental treatment of Beitingyong. Subsequently, Huang Biao and his party came to Nanting Chung, Xiaoguwei Street, to inspect the results of the water environment treatment in Nanting Chung.

Huang Biao affirmed the results achieved in the treatment of the two rivers in Xiaoguwei Street, and asked Xiaoguwei Street to continue to strengthen the cleaning of the river, keep the water surface of the river and the environment on both sides of the river clean and tidy, and ensure the green scenery of the water and the shore.

It is understood that as early as 2017, XiaoguWei Street continued to increase the ecological restoration of the river and the environmental improvement on both sides of the strait in the process of handling the "No. 1 Bill". In view of the existing problems, a variety of measures such as pollution interception, dredging, water replenishment and ecological restoration are adopted to carry out the treatment of black and odorous water bodies. After several years of treatment, the current North Tingyong and South Tingyong water environmental treatment has achieved phased results, through the testing of professional companies, the water quality of the two rivers has basically reached the five types of surface water standards, to achieve no black and no smell, the water environment has been comprehensively improved.
