On October 6, Yang Jian, member of the Standing Committee of the county party committee and secretary of the Political and Legal Committee, led relevant staff to go deep into Hehe Township to inspect the disaster situation, and directed the flood prevention and mitigation work on the spot, and inspected it together with the relevant responsible persons of Hexiang.
Yang Jian and his party successively went to Renjiazhuang Village and Hehe Village in Hehe Township to learn more about the situation of housing, traffic roads, and crop damage to the masses in Hehe Township through on-the-spot inspection, listening to reports, and household exchanges, and directed the flood prevention and disaster reduction work on the spot.
Yang Jian pointed out: At present, there is frequent rain in our county and the situation of flood prevention is very grim, and the whole township should attach great importance to it, regard the flood season disaster prevention, mitigation, and relief work as the most important task in the current work, earnestly strengthen patrol duty, always keep the safety of the people's lives and property in mind, resolutely overcome the mentality of luck and paralysis, and concentrate on doing a good job in all aspects of the work of flood safety.
Yang Jian stressed: First, it is necessary to raise the political standpoint, attach great importance to the flood prevention work, and cadres at both levels in the villages should sink to the front line and carry out house-to-house investigations; second, they should strengthen their awareness of risks, keep a close eye on disaster-prone phenomena such as cracking of old houses, road washouts and cracks, landslides, and falling into the water after rains, set up warning signs in a timely manner, conduct repeated inspections, give scientific guidance, strengthen propaganda, and resolutely guard the bottom line of not having hidden dangers; third, we must do a good job of transfer and resettlement, and mobilize relatives and friends to target the masses living in areas prone to geological disasters.
