The content, method, process, etc. of the investigation

Earth is the only planet in the solar system that has life, and now the environment of the Earth is gradually deteriorating due to human activities. Human activities will produce a large amount of garbage, how to rationally dispose of garbage, garbage classification, so as to recycle to achieve waste into treasure is an important issue. Proper garbage sorting is considered an effective measure to stop environmental degradation. At present, Shanghai has been actively promoting garbage classification. In the process I noticed a new problem, namely the problem of profit and cost in garbage sorting. In order to understand the public's views on this issue and the actual situation in the implementation of garbage classification, I went to some merchants on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street for a one-day social inspection, aiming to understand the different views of citizens on the cost and profit of garbage classification, and to explore how to further improve the system and scheme of garbage classification and optimize the classification process. The main methods of this expedition include the interview method, the observation method and the questionnaire method, of which the questionnaire method adopts the on-site paper questionnaire method. The details are as follows: 1. Interview method. Customers in coffee and restaurants in the Nanjing Road business district were randomly selected for interviews to understand their views on garbage sorting. 2. Observation method. Crouch by the garbage can in the store for half an hour to observe their self-awareness of garbage sorting and whether the garbage is accurate. 3. Issuance of paper questionnaires. Questionnaires were distributed in the Nanjing Road business district, mainly to understand the public's views on the cost and profit of garbage sorting.

Summary and recommendations of the expedition

During this social visit, I successfully interviewed six customers, observed and recorded them at the trash can for half an hour, and recycled three complete paper questionnaires. Through this activity, I learned about the voices of the citizens and the views they hold. To summarize as follows: 1. In the interview, I learned that the public is very much in favor of garbage sorting. 2. However, some people think that the cost is greater than the profit, and feel that garbage sorting is purely a good deed, just out of awareness of environmental protection. Because the construction of garbage classification facilities requires a large investment, including manpower and material resources, there is no great profit, so the cost is greater than the profit. 3. Some people think that the profit is greater than the cost, and feel that the manufacturers of facilities that produce garbage classification will definitely have profits, because the merchants that sell garbage classification supplies will make a profit. So they think that the profit is greater than the cost. 4. Observation found that only one of the six customers did not classify garbage as required, and it can be seen that most citizens have consciously classified garbage. 5. The questionnaire results show that 33% of residents believe that the profit is greater than the cost, and 66% of the residents think that the cost is greater than the profit. Combining the above, I suggest that points can be issued by assessing the pass rate of people throwing garbage, which can be used to receive some daily necessities, and the daily necessities that can be collected can be manufactured and sold from recycled garbage, so as to form recycling. I also suggest that garbage sorting should strive to achieve a balance between cost and profit, so as to improve the enthusiasm of citizens for garbage sorting.

Study experience and thinking

1. This inspection activity gave me an in-depth understanding and thinking about the cost and profit of garbage classification. I feel that garbage classification is a big project that benefits the country and the people, and we should actively change the old garbage disposal cognition. How to do a better job in garbage classification will be the direction of social joint efforts. 2. Through this expedition, I also deeply realized the importance of teamwork. Participating in social practice for the first time, from the initial fear and inadaptability to gradually entering the state later, overcoming various difficulties, thanking the team members for their mutual help and guidance from the instructor.
