The reporter learned from the Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park Administration that at present, through expert review, 30 names suitable for Hainan gibbon babies have been selected from the enthusiastic submissions of netizens, and from now until October 29, a voting channel will be opened online, inviting netizens to vote for the name of Hainan gibbon babies.

On March 2 and March 3 this year, the Hainan Gibbon Monitoring Team of the Bawangling Branch of the Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park Administration found that a new baby ape was added to the B group and D group of Hainan gibbons, which were 7 months old and 6 months old, respectively, and continuous monitoring showed that the two baby apes were in good health and had normal growth and development. On September 5, Golden City, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Hainan Forestry Bureau, issued an invitation at the joint press conference of Hainan Gibbon Xitian Baby Ape Haikou - Marseille to publicly solicit the name of Hainan Gibbon Baby. On September 15, the Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park Administration opened a collection channel on the official WeChat public account and official Weibo, and after the name was selected, a gift package worth up to 20,000 yuan could be obtained from hainan tropical rainforest national park.

The name campaign attracted the attention of all sectors of society, many netizens named the Hainan baby gibbon online, and many elderly people sent their handwritten names to the office of the Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park Administration.
